I'm not here often because I'm on the CModS account instead but this match and what it represents was brilliant and I'm so glad they're not stopping. I played for the Y6 girl's team when I was in Y5 because I loved it and was good enough. At secondary, I couldn't play any more.

✨Exciting news! Our funding application deadline has been extended to the 1st of July. That's for all research events held before the 31st July, and proposals for any new research strands to begin next academic year. £300 and £1000pa available respectively per project!

I'd absolutely love to read commentary from informed folk on this question. (The short answer would appear to be "because you immediately lose the employers' contribution". But USS governance has gone so far rogue that I would not like to discount alternatives out of hand.)

@Sam_Marsh101 @e_maus @ucu @ucuYork My genuine question (to which there is probably an obvious answer I haven’t thought of) is why can’t UCU take this to the courts? I don’t think raising funds would be impossible.
