Venue share is a flow signal. On Oct 21, SOL spot volume was $1.62B. Solana DEXs took $883.9M, CEXs $728M, non-Solana DEXs $9.7M. Onchain led the day. One print is not a regime. Watch whether the split holds on quiet sessions.
Leverage did not leave the bear market. It changed instruments. On Hyperliquid, TradFi perps ran over 3x the BTC perp volume in August. The chart now sits near parity. Flow follows volatility, not loyalty. Does it return when BTC trends?

Volume is not usage. Stablecoins settled roughly $35T onchain in 2025, yet only about $390B was a genuine payment. That is 1.1%. The rest is trading, DeFi, bots and internal transfers. Read the flow, not the headline total.
Reserve managers do not trade headlines. They reallocate slowly. Fortune reports central banks are buying gold at about four times the normal rate and moving it out of the US. That is a structural bid, not tape noise. Watch whether BTC trades as part of that diversification flow.
A cost basis is where a cohort breaks even. That is why price reacts there. BTC is back at the US spot ETF cost basis near $81.5K. Last week's sweep to $80.1K was caught here. Below it: true market mean $77.6K, short-term holders $74.8K.
Withdrawn is not bought. Three wallets pulled 24,454 ETH, about $60.7M, off Kraken and Binance. One staked, one lent on Aave. Less sell-side inventory, not necessarily a bid. Watch whether net exchange balances keep falling.
