@djmokram @DiGi_Valentine I suppose not everything can have the absurdly top tier, drippy production quality across the board that we saw in FF7R, shrug

@djmokram @DiGi_Valentine Honestly, I’m laughing and having fun with it and intentionally leaving it on English. And in all other regards it is certainly just a remaster. Aside from the graphics it is heavy on the PS2 era presentation. The combat is very smooth though.

@djmokram @DiGi_Valentine But the game is fun and the fact that we get to play it at all in 2022 makes me so happy.

@djmokram @DiGi_Valentine Dude, the english language voice acting in this is laugh-out-loud terrible, and that opinion is independent of the hokey and outdated script. It’s worse than Stranger of Paradise (a game I very much also enjoyed). It is seriously, hilariously awful.

@imagni Ah, straight down the rabbit hole then. I was a frequent, naive and fascinated young visitor of that site in the early 2000s. That nostalgia is dirty as hell, lol

@imagni Yeaaaah. A lot of rough history. I’m guessing by that reaction you found the surface level description of one “Byron”.

@DeonixLA @The_Socko @stevesaylor I agree that the option is great. I can’t speak for the previous poster but the impression I get (and how I also feel) is that while the the option is great, the blanket statement that “any gamer watching this would want this feature” is untrue

@Atlus_West is the steelbook launch edition for the new persona 5 royal packaged like the ps4 version/smt5? IE, is the case itself the steelbook with a plastic slipcover, or do you just get a steelbook in addition to the standard case? It’s unclear from the photos.

@MakeSouls Don’t know what this item is but I took him out without it. Does it stop his countdown attack? I just had to tank it

@SEGA Sonic 2 Beta, ahh. The mystery and speculation around it and Simon Wai’s website were a joyous part of my early adolescence

@TheNCSmaster Celeste and other games handle this well by giving you a death counter. You get infinite lives to complete a level yet it enhances replayability by encouraging you to get though that level again and again with less deaths
