No hope needed. As I said at BlizzCon, we'll be adding more content to the 1-60 leveling journey over time, as we add to this horizontally-expanding, evergreen, Classic Azeroth.

Agree on this point. But I think it would be inevitable and that’s what a horizontal progression is. Some content will be easier some harder, in together they should bring great value to your progression for some specific area. I can imagine that some loot from 40 lvl dungeon can be BIS for a new update in 2years. I’m making comparison based on my OSRS experience, where horizontal progression is S tier.
Maybe I can give you an example of how it can look like (keep in mind it's just my idea). We know that there is going to be new type of buffs on specific items against some type of mobs. For example there can be chance that bis ring against specific type of mob, can be dropped from dungeon of lvl 50, but second ring which will be a set bonus from raid lvl 60. Together we will have BIS set against X type of mob by combining two different encounters, with option bind on pick up you will need to do it on you main, rather than alt. As example :)

I would like to say that new features will kill the game faster than anything. To make a game with horizontal progression chase the horizon, you need new locations/ new dungeons/new items/new quests, not new features. Social pillar should be foundational for that. So I'm against your suggestion.
As a dog owner, yes you should. It doesn't matter how good your dog is trained, it's amazing that your dog can listen to you without a leash and you are confident in him. But things can happen, random firework, loud sound, your dog can be scared, run off, go under car etc. It's not a big deal to keep your dog on the leash, it's safer and more comfortable for everyone, including yourself and a dog.
@amorriscode Not a shortcut but I disabled moving through screens with double finger slide on touchpad. Alt tab for anything feels much more convenient
