@GMFinX Depends on what your wife gets paid? Do you own the house with a mortgage or rent? If own, how did you find the deposit? Do you use nurseries? Most are £80 a day though with TFC you can get that down to £60. Do you pay into pensions? Hard to know without facts. What’s £135k?

No mystery here: Poland was never part of the Soviet Union, and quickly joined the EU. Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union and never joined the EU. Even before 2004 the gap was huge, and it only got bigger after Poland joined the EU. Also, Poland hasn't been at war with fascist Russia since 2014.
