Story points are an abstraction which help in terms of consensus on complexity. But always proved infinitely more useful to have some time element - either an effort estimate or a deadline. The conversion to time always happens in some way or another.

This is getting a lot of hate at the moment. But there’s tons of opportunities in the ai-gen content space. Experimenting with applying a feed construct over this is an obvious go-to. Will take time to find the right construct for this new form of content gen.

Markup + VSCode + Copilot are slept on for product docs. Keep a repo, refine as you go - the more you iterate, the faster and sharper your output. Happy to do a bigger write up and demo if interest is there.

Loved the @Meta Connect 2025 demos. Live, messy, genuine. New computing interfaces will have bumps but bumps are exciting. Beats the safe, incremental moves. Better to push boundaries.

As frontier models advance, outputs get more contextual. But UIs are structured- user journeys are layers over workflows. Interfaces will stay grounded in that foundation, no matter how smart the model gets.

MoSCoW prioritisation is pointless. Should just be M. SCoW items will either become M or nothing. Ruthless prioritisation = cleaner product.

Backlogs cloud thinking. Good ideas resurface if they matter - if not, they weren’t THAT good. Focus on now and next. And let your product vision be the compass for the long term. @jasonfried and @37signals’s Fizzy captures this perfectly. No backlogs leads to clearer thinking!

When you’re deep in technical or product debates, pause and ask: “What are we actually trying to accomplish for the end user?” Anchor the decision in the user journey impact - everything else flows from that.
