Many thanks to Rev. Stachelle Bussey. She visited Centre this evening and talked about the transformative work she does through The Hope Buss and The Hope Village in Louisville. She challenged and inspired. She even drove the bus down.

Many today would call MLK a critical race theorist because he acted in accordance to what Jesus taught, he applied those teachings to his context, and confronted those who attempted to malign him and mythologize historical fact. We could use more CRT folks like MLK right now.

How about a little love for this 8 year old? She missed a year of school in-person. She’s worn a mask in the building for months. She’s fully vaccinated come Saturday. She’s been tested every day this week due to close exposure. She’s still smiling. She earned her cotton candy.

Cozying up to purveyors of false conspiracy theories who use the Bible as cover like Ken Ham (in a cute piece set to a lighthearted tune) is the gateway to Q conspiracy capitulation. The religious right and Q serve the same purpose in the GOP playbook.
