RFK Jr. got very real on Jocko’s podcast about his 14-year struggle with heroin. He had iron willpower in every other part of life. At 13 he gave up candy for Lent and never touched it again. Same with desserts. But drugs? He couldn’t keep a single promise to himself. He’d wake up dead serious, “this is the last time”, and by afternoon he’d be using again. He said it felt like someone else had stepped into his body and taken over the wheel. That constant betrayal of your own word is one of the most crushing parts of addiction. Addiction doesn’t just wreck your body. It destroys your relationship with yourself. The gorilla doesn’t stop dancing when you want it to. What’s something you’ve struggled to overcome even when you had strong willpower in other areas of life?

@AutismCapital 🇨🇦 Canada got rid of pennies years ago and we just round to the nearest nickel. It's way better. Now when I go to the USA and get pennies for change I usually just throw them in the garbage.
