Not sure who decided to edit the #LiveAid footage with a filmic* effect, but it’s a terrible decision. The filter used has made the crowd shots look awful, and the pillarboxes aren’t much better. Given how rarely the concert is shown, it’s a real shame. #LiveAid40 (*psf25)

Not seen any issues on the UHD channel for the past few minutes (at least via Sky Q), so seems like the fault might have been fixed. Especially good for those on NowTV who didn’t seem to be able to get to the HD channel. @SkySportsF1 #Indy500 #skysports #skysportsF1

If you’re watching the #Indy500 on @SkySportsF1 UHD but having picture and sound issues, go to ch 857 Seems like the problems are an issue with Sky’s UHD F1 channel. (Indy 500 coverage is not in UHD, so you’re not missing much). #skysports #skysportsf1

Delighted this has been saved after HBO dropped out. Continues to be such an important show with a rich and long history. Stays where it should be on PBS in the US, gets Netflix money from them having it everywhere else.

Technical version of my last post: Using 25pSf for a show with so much fast motion is madness, the sort of thing the #EBU shouldn’t be allowing. It’s a live entertainment show, it should be smooth. At least use 50i or, now, 50p downconverted to 50i were necessary. #Eurovision

If you’re wondering why the performance bits #Eurovision look ‘wrong’ - it’s because the producers have decided to use a lower fame rate ‘filmic’ look. This is madness for a show that has so much fast movement, the result is juddery shots that should be smooth. Such a shame.

Golf is one of those sports you’d think wouldn’t work on radio. Yet last night was compelling listening, even if you had the TV pictures too. Warm, funny, wonderfully descriptive, taking it just seriously enough. Brilliant from @iaincartergolf and the whole 5 Live Sport team.
