As Christians, we shouldn’t feel bad at all about having to spend Bitcoin. Ultimately, it’s a tool to uplift the church, not a treasure to bury underground. Don’t confuse the means as the end.

Yes, criminals use Bitcoin, just like they use phones, roads, and dollars. The difference? Bitcoin’s ledger is public and traceable, which is why today's biggest criminals have all preferred cash to Bitcoin.

Energy use isn’t bad. The question is whether it’s being used for good. Fiat money creates wasted energy by diluting the currency's value, creating inefficiencies in trade everywhere. Bitcoin actually monetizes that otherwise wasted energy to create financial freedom.

Being a creature (and not God) means being limited. Unlike God, humans need tools and technology, in large part because of our limitations. Money is one of the most useful tools we have, especially for dealing with our limited knowledge (both of people and of the future).

Don’t assume your church leaders will be early adopters to Bitcoin. Many of them carry heavy spiritual burdens and have larger fish to fry. They will likely be skeptical, slow, or silent. And that’s okay. Faithfulness is patient. Use the opportunity to sharpen yourself.
