@FrDidymus Too late to vote here but a resounding yes from me. He could have done and still could do more - the lack of acknowledgement continues to traumatise survivors. His response was more of embarrassment in being found out, rather than a commitment to change and reparation.

@abi_teacher_ This message upset me at the time and continues to to this day. Your dad IS the reason I became a psychologist to support young women who have been abused by men like your dad and to create safer systems and environments so abuse doesn't happen in the first place.

It took me till my late 20s, then 30s and now 40s to fully understand the grooming and abuse that went on (and how the church system enabled this).
