Appreciate the short & sweet shoutout for @chia_project from @kevinrose on @modern_fi. Was really curious to hear what @bankless thought of it since it ticks many checkboxes of the ideal L1 @RyanSAdams was describing. Anyway, always good to hear my 2 fav podcasts together. $XCH

@patrickluberus 100%. Smart contracts platform are great but so many apps and use cases layered on top of one another creates high tx fees. Not all use cases are equally important but they’re affected all the same way. Eg digital cash is a forgone possibility on layer 1

@patrickluberus @OmarBaradei @JacobNH91 @Abdalla25014372 @nano @mira_hurley Lower quorum for change tx is a good start. I’ve heard about work to make rep changes possible on a stalled network, is that the work?

@JacobNH91 @mira_hurley @OmarBaradei @Abdalla25014372 @nano @patrickluberus Yup the solution is more adoption to spread the coins. Specifically more exchange listings to dilute Binance and Kraken’s influence.

@OmarBaradei @JacobNH91 @Abdalla25014372 @nano As a result of that threshold, only 33% is needed to stall the network and force a hard fork.

@LebanonJon @chia_project Wow, I was JUST working on this exact infographic on consensus mechanism, without directly calling out Chia though. Great minds.

@LebanonJon I'd disagree that NANO is "just PoS". Removing the monetary incentives eliminates the biggest issues @bramcohen has with PoS consensus. Granted, no concept of heaviest chain and "all validators disappeared overnight" are still issues.

@bramcohen Eth has smart developers. Given your thoughts around PoS, why do you think Eth is okay moving to it? Are they just making a calculated trade-off of security vs energy use?

@AstroCAT13957 I live near an observatory. Every summer (weather permitting) we head there and lie on the grass to observe the Perseids meteor shower. This one evening makes it worth having darker streets year round. xch1emuyqterlg3qd57yxtc5kr4ekw4xc05jdvxygfdtukmzkt045ewqu4vr28

@charli_bing great introductory article with excellent resources! One small correction about your mention of Chia -- it's Proof of Space (and Time) is not used for storing information. But rather random cryptographic hashes similar to Proof of Work except far more green!

@Ward4Councillor hi councillor, can you confirm that you voted for the Young St bike lane rerouting in order to preserve 7 parking spots?

@SaffronOlive not sure if anyone has mentioned but about what value of X is worth playing "Instant - U - Scry X", as you mentioned Index is already a card and doesn't see play. Check out Spy Network -- seeing fringe legacy infect play to replace probe.
