As of 3pm- Edmonton has set a FOURTH consecutive record high. 32.5 (so far) breaks the old record of 32.2 --- this 4-day streak is now tied for the most consecutive record highs. #yegwx

Edmonton has set a record high for the 3rd consecutive day. The previous Aug 28 record was 31.7 degrees. As of 4pm - we're at 32.2 and we'll probably end the day even hotter. We take a run at a record-tying FOURTH consecutive record high tomorrow (Fri). #yegwx

FWIW - the record for most consecutive Record Highs in Edmonton is 4 straight days. Dec 26, 27, 28, 29 in 1999. (the longest consecutive stretch of record lows is 5 days in Nov 1896). #yegwx

Today is the first of what could be three or four consecutive record-setting days in Edmonton. Tomorrow's (Aug 27) record high of 31.1 & Thu's (Aug 28) record high of 31.7 will VERY LIKELY be broken. Fri's (Aug 29) record of 32.2 is also in jeopardy. #yegwx
