Podcasters - other than YouTube comments & Apple podcast reviews, what are some good options for listeners to leave public feedback?
My videos are mostly just static image audio only but still got over 400,000 views last month. People are “watching” my podcast on their TVs. YouTube is no joke for podcasters, it’s a very real way to grow your audience. Takes time & effort though.

@AprilynneAlter I listen to "YouTube Creators Hub" by @DustyPorterYT and "Creator Upload". Find tons of value in more general podcasts like "How I Write," @tferriss podcast, or "My First Million." The most useful book is still, imo "How to Shoot Video That Doesn't Suck" by @SteveStockman.

Unless you're an A-list celeb, big media co, or plan to sell your audience a high $ product, it makes no sense for you to launch a podcast right now.
@businessbarista There are way too many people who have a podcast just to have a podcast. Also, I don't understand doing audio-only podcasts in 2024. It's really not that much extra effort to do basic video.

after a long journey of trying my hand at video podcasting, I just realized that if you lump YouTube with the other platforms people use to consume Taboo Science, it's now my BEST platform. more people watched my latest episodes on YouTube than listened on Apple Podcasts. WHAT.

@joshtayloraudio Agreed. Though I feel there's still a wee bit of difference in that, until recently, not a lot of apps supported individual episode art, so it was basically just create the podcast show artwork and it's one and done. YT thumbnails, in that respect, are needed for every episode.
@joshtayloraudio I loathe the fact you have to put so much effort into these for some algorithm, as opposed to letting the content speak for itself. You can have amazing thumbnails and crap content, or amazing content and crap thumbnails. I know my preference as a content consumer.
