@_____feifei The H is for Hallowed. It’s revealed in the book Lamb. Jesus friend Biff spills the tea about his middle name among other things.

@damnnadaam Reminds me of the Singapore episode of House Hunters International. They play off the small closet off the kitchen with an adjoining toilet and shower as an extra pantry or shelter from natural disaster. Laughable explanations if you’ve ever lived in Singapore.

@BabeLaufenberg Losing a child is so much more than any other loss. No one understands unless they go through it themselves. There is no moving on.

Parents: You are not going back to school. Your child is. He forgot his homework? His problem. Left his lunch at home? He’ll survive. The goal isn’t a problem-free school year. It’s a child who learns to handle his own problems.

@ClownWorld Yes. I skipped this process once and came home with a few ears with worms and/or worm holes. Now I shuck at the store. Normally there is a trash can for customers. Corn is sold per ear not per pound.

@educator4ever36 Shared stuff I worked hours to create only to have new teacher sell it as her own on TPT. So I’ll share ideas verbally but not hardcopies or digital files. Sorry not sorry.

@AmericanAir Baggage team said they were busy. Then mad snippy announcement telling us over an hour wait is fine because there are a lot of bags on the flight. No help. Still waiting.

Idk but I don't think its my responsibility as a teacher to call the parent to inform them that their child is failing or going to fail. Especially when it's because they don't turn in the work Too much technology to be clueless on your child's progress.

@TolentinoTeach Starts early. Get rid of community supplies in elementary school and go back to students keeping track of supplies with their own pencil box. The endless supply of pencils by trading the dull pencil for a sharp pencil is ridiculous.

YOU DON'T "SAVE" SOCIAL SECURITY BY RAISING THE MINIMUM AGE TO 71. YOU SAVE IT BY REMOVING EVERYONE STEALING FROM IT.

It is not that children are not reading, it is that adults are not teaching them to read and are not demanding that they read in order to pass classes. The framing of why don't children read is done to make the actor failing the child, rather than the adults. It is maddening.

@jenteach13 Not a damn thing. It’s July. The one thing I’m doing now to avoid burn out is turning off my teacher brain and enjoying a few more weeks of summer.

@PolitiBunny They did this in 2019 for the anniversary of Apollo 11. So cool to see in person. Sad I can’t make the America 250 show.

🚨 WOW! Justice Alito is absolutely FUMING over SCOTUS giving the green light to birthright citizenship "In my judgment, the court has made a mistake that will seriously affect the country's future." "Suppose that a person's only connection to this country is that he was born here to a mother who was present just long enough to give birth and then quickly return to her native country. Suppose that country is a strategic adversary or enemy of the United States. Suppose the child NEVER visited the United States while grow and was inculcated with hatred of this country. According to this court, now, that person is a citizen of the United States. He can enter and leave the country as he pleases. He can travel the world on a United States passport. Even if he plots to harm this country, he cannot be deprived of his status as a citizen, at least under current precedent." — Justice Samuel Alito in his dissent

As a teacher, this is what I want to say to SOME parents: Stop making excuses for your kids. STOP IT. Teach them to earn things, not demand things. Hold them to a higher standard. Challenge them. That way, when I try to challenge them, they’ll know we both expect it.

Two major issues need to be addressed at once: 1. End Birthright citizenship forever 2. Ban foreign born citizens from running for political office We can't continue as a serious country if 3rd world citizens can undermine our democracy and have more power than the President.
