@RankMIVote So happy to have Marseille on our team!

EXCITING NEWS: Please join us in welcoming Marseille Allen as Rank MI Vote's new Executive Director! For more than two decades, Marseille Allen has advised senior leaders at the local, state, and federal levels in the U.S. Senate, Department of Labor, and Office of the Vice President. Before joining Rank MI Vote, Marseille served as a director with the Michigan Democratic Party and represented 14,000 public-sector workers at UAW Local 6000. "I am grateful for the opportunity to lead Rank MI Vote. Together, we will educate elected officials and the public about what #RankedChoiceVoting is, how it works, and why it matters. We will bring a fairer, better representative, and more voter-centered system to Michigan. Let’s get to work!"

She done lost her damn mind.

U.S. Army veteran Zaneta Adams writes in Michigan Advance, "#RankedChoiceVoting will not fix everything about our politics. But it is a simple, tested, common-sense reform that gives more choice and more voice to voters and makes our elections more representative, our candidates more accountable to the whole electorate, and our democracy a little more worthy of the sacrifices so many Americans, in and out of uniform, have made for it. That is why I support it. That is why I hope you will too." buff.ly/USkAFyb

@PeteButtigieg Yay! And I’ll be glad to move on to the General with whatever slate we’ve voted on. Also, looking forward to the day when we have our candidates win with a majority of the vote *without* parties bullying some to drop out so the don’t split the vote. #rcv 💖

Buttigieg: It is not too much to ask that, in this country and in this state, one job ought to be enough, which means wages and benefits that make that possible. It’s not too much to ask that you ought to be able to afford to raise a family in this country—to put your kid in child care if you want, or stay home and take care of them yourselves if you want, or do some combination of that if you want—and still have it add up at the end of the month. It is not too much to ask that the wealthiest country in the world have the best health care in the world and that it have the best-funded public schools in the world. And it is not too much to ask that the largest corporations and wealthiest people in this country pay at least as much of their income and wealth in taxes as a schoolteacher, a bus driver, or a firefighter. It is not too much to ask for a different kind of politics, where you look at your leaders in action and actually feel your blood pressure come down a little bit instead of going through the roof. That is a reasonable thing to expect of our leaders. It is not too much to ask. We can do this. Most of us already want this. So the obvious question is: Why hasn’t it happened? And that’s where we’ve got to talk about the system that we’re living with, which, by the way, as a politician, they kind of tell you not to do. Consultants say, “Look, no one’s going to get too fired up about the details of our democratic system when they’re just trying to keep their heads above water in this economy,” which I get, and to some extent I agree. But the reason that so many things are wrong with our economic picture is that so many things are wrong with our political system. And we’ve gotten so used to it, we can forget that there was a time when our political system was the pride of this nation. Wars have been fought for our system, starting with the first one—the one that launched 250 years ago with the Declaration of Independence, the one that gave this nation its being. The Founders risked their lives for a better political system. So don’t tell me it can’t stir people’s hearts. Don’t tell me that it’s not worth fighting for. Especially because until we do something to change our political system, we will continue to suffer from an economic system that lets us down: monopolies squeezing families and farmers on both ends; consumers and workers caught up in a system that can’t serve them; small businesses swamped by the big guys. Right now, what’s at stake is nothing less than the American dream. It is endangered.

@Sgt_Mac87 @RpsAgainstTrump A candidate cannot win their race without a majority (50%+1 or more) of the support of voters. If that’s not the definition of giving voters what they want, I don’t know what is.

@PeteButtigieg Ranked Choice Voting to bring down the temperature in our politics & give voters real choice in elections. Join @RankMIVote in putting #rankedchoicevoting on our 2026 ballot here in Michigan. That’s one systemic change that will have a big impact.

RCV & RMV - In The News! @detroitnews just published a major piece (buff.ly/Y6XGJl5) on the growing movement to bring Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) to Michigan — and the momentum is real. Despite political pushback, more and more Michiganders are rallying around the idea that our elections should be fairer, more representative, and give voters more real choices. As Pat Zabawa, campaign manager for Rank MI Vote, put it: “Increasingly, voters feel dissatisfied with the choices on their ballots and want more options.” RCV is how we fix that — by empowering voters to rank candidates in order of preference and vote with their values, not just strategy. @PeteButtigieg

@PeteButtigieg Thank you for laying out your thoughts for how you’ll spend the coming months and years. This struck me: open.substack.com/pub/petebuttig… I hope as you talk with your fellow Michiganders, you’ll be bold and help us change how we put people in office. Let’s move to #rankedchoicevoting

@beyond_process @PeteButtigieg I support this! See you there @PeteButtigieg 🌷

@nerdypursuit @AqDennis35221 Umm - Pretty sure Mike Rogers, although a native Michigander, hadn’t lived here for a long time and in fact didn’t even have a functioning address with a certificate of occupancy for his new house where he registered to vote. He’d spent a decade living & voting in Florida
