Saying goodbye to my darling Simon today was horrendous but so very grateful for all the love and support. The church was full and the love was real. I even managed to read the eulogy. 💔

Was invited by a good friend to our local theatre tonight. A tiny old building. It was a Sherlock Holmes monologue. Hard to do things during grief but I’m so glad I said yes. Had to concentrate so it was good to take my mind elsewhere. Learning to say yes

Ramblings when should be sleeping: I advise all couples to fully binge watch a whole series prior to starting a new one. Now have about 15 half watched series we expected to finish together. Not yet ready to solo watch so will probably forget plot & have to start again

Today is our 32nd anniversary. I was so lucky to have married my best friend. Instead of having a meal at our favourite restaurant I registered his death yesterday & meet funeral directors tomorrow. Hug those you love tight 💔

One of many things I’ve been grateful for supporting my husband recover is how I did actually listen to the stories his parents repeatedly told me. Using these past stories to help make those vital new pathways. So do please listen to the inlaws. You never know when needed. ❤️
