@commaficionado I'm sorry you feel this way, it was not my intention to upset anyone, I was genuinely interested in the thread and made a comment, I didn't realise I would get such hate.

@commaficionado And an excellent job your doing, just pointing out that all children are feeling this way 🙂

@commaficionado @Alexlexxi I haven't made it about anything, I've simply stated how my children are feeling. It was perfectly innocent reply to your tweet, I thought was very good. Am I not allowed to air my views if my children don't have the same issues? There was no malice just simply saying my view.

@semadivad Don't do it! I went, not my thing, was having a shower whilst someone was taking a dump. It's really not my thing!

@ChristopherWri4 @carlbarrett Not bad planning, just life. Its not all black and white. At the end of the day the government take back a lot more from you than you borrowed based on the current value. It makes it difficult to move on for some. It's not a good scheme.

@ChristopherWri4 @carlbarrett That's a lot of ifs though, and I know someone who is stuck paying enormous interest rates on the loan because they can't get a big enough remortgage to cover this and then have spare. It's not the best scheme. Also why is it just aimed at younger people?

@ChristopherWri4 @carlbarrett If you want to move though you have to have your house valued then pay back whatever % the help to buy state of that valuation, not the original amount borrowed. This is where it becomes hard, you don't then have much of a deposit for the next house.

@LizaUK3 @carlbarrett @RobertJenrick @BorisJohnson @10DowningStreet @MrMasonMills @RishiSunak Exactly our position, paying £800 a month rent, clearly can pay a mortgage, just no money left at the end of the month for saving. We are stuck in this cycle.

@tommy2holes @carlbarrett Exact position we are in. Renting and bills, not much left over for saving. We have 2 kids and would rather make memories with them than try to kill ourselves working/ saving. We just have to hope we can stay where we are for a long time, such a shit situation though

@ChristopherWri4 @carlbarrett I doubt we will own our own house, this in itself isn't a problem for us, but the renting market needs a massive shake up so we have some security. At any time we could be given notice to move, with 2 kids it's not ideal. Our landlords are the best, it's always on our mind though

@ChristopherWri4 @carlbarrett You are then stuck. It's not a good scheme, it's a government money making scheme. House prices should be affordable, rents should be cheaper enabling those who want to save for a deposit. One we have paid our rent and bills we don't have anything left to save.

@ChristopherWri4 @carlbarrett If you try to remortgage you need to be able to get a new mortgage for a lot higher than your original one to be able to pay this help to buy back. Some can't do this because if the worth/ value of the house and wages, your then stuck paying huge interest on the original amount

So our family holiday this year is a weekend camping with our fab neighbours 10 minutes down the road. I don't do camping, I don't do communal showers. The saving grace is that it will be glorious weather/alcohol. I will be documenting the ride.
