@wookash_podcast @cmuratori @ryanjfleury @stewartlynch8 My super power in my game dev is using this hot reload tool: @liveplusplus I get C++ scripting without a need to restart. I usually code without quitting a debugger. Everything just works. I should make a YouTube short or vod on how much it helps and speeds me up.

Concerns have been raised that Live++ might not be compatible with the recently announced "Dynamic Debugging" feature of Visual Studio. There currently is no reason to believe that Live++ will not work with this feature. We'll have a closer look once it's out of preview.

@CaffeineViking @okonomiyonda This is exactly what I do now: release build by default, Live++ recompile file without optimizations if I need to debug line-by-line.

@The_MrX_ @okonomiyonda if you're using Live++ you just need to press Ctrl+Alt+O in visual studio and it will "hot-deoptimize" the current file. liveplusplus.tech/docs/documenta…

@okonomiyonda using debug builds to debug your game is a great way to waste time. it can take minutes to load into a production level. release with symbols is the way to go, and if I need source line-level precision I just recompile the offending file with Live++ without optimizations.
