@farzyness @LimitingThe Any reason why the steering wheel and pedals can't be detachable by the owner, perhaps sold separately? Can even be wireless with high sampling rate. Also easy to mount to either side.

This is my thought for today. Hope it brings you a moment of reflection. "All the world's a stage" - William Shakespeare

This means looking the best you can, acting and speaking kindly and well, listening to and understanding people, and bringing something good to our universe. We as a global society have lost this since the internet and smart phones arrived.

People living the online life never get as good with face-to-face as those immersed in in-office work, live events, deep loving and sexual relationships, and everyday family life. Being good at face-to-face means being the best human you can be.

Face-to-face needs to regain its importance. There is no substitute for being with someone in a non-curated way for hours and days at a time. We all edit our online behavior. Not necessarily bad, but it's a distortion. Parents, friends, lovers all NEED face-to-face.

@ylecun Great metaphor. Just to add, LLMs' book knowledge is not sufficient. It doesn't fully close the autonomy loop needed to deal with reality. It's the research part of sense-research-decide-act. Old Timers do autonomy well. Robots will too, with enough practice.

@economatrix1 @wholemars My guess is pricing at $7 a day. Same rate as it is now but a shorter commitment. I would buy in a heartbeat for road trips.

@ilyasut Ilya, don't. Don't regret. You are admirable. You tried to preserve the original idea of OpenAI by taking effective action. Creating capped for-profit was doomed to begin with, unfortunately. Creativity and profit always at odds. Endless argument: how to define the cap?

@GaryMarcus @trippmickle @CadeMetz @itsyiwenlu IMO, issue is not AV tech per se, but instead sharing and transfer of responsibility for control. This is what the SAE Levels try to quantify. Cruise took all responsibility away from occupants who are most at risk. Surprising. Tesla keeps driver in loop, slowly building trust.
