Jev plays doom in realtime and it looks like an actual player. their numbers: 20 to 200x faster, 40 to 400x cheaper, output tokens free. Two things we might see now: - the opponent we're up against in a game might be a realtime AI. - a TA, or anything else we'd hire a real
hype-free explanation of jev: jev does not replace gpt / claude jev is just a *really* smart switch statement like if 2016 ml classifiers got 2026 levels of intelligence it's a new* type of tool that will make a lot of workloads insanely fast, cheap, and accurate * = and by new, i mean rebranded ~~~ it needs a predefined set of options and it will tell you which one to take it cannot: - write code - generate natural language - reason step by step / show its work - produce any output you didn't define in advance - pick from more than ~255 options in one shot but it can: - classify, route, score, rank - give confidence - pick the right branch, tool, model, or sub-agent - judge / verify / guardrail an llm's output - label tons and tons of rows ~~~ i'd imagine a lot of workflows that look like: llm proposes options → jev decides → code executes and i see this fitting *really* well with code mode and mcp ~~~ implying this will lead to agi seems incredibly far fetched to me, but i don't want to discount the types of applications that this will make possible

I’m thinking about banning Claude code at Shopify until they change their mind and read AGENTS.md and .agents/skills etc. Insisting on only reading CLAUDE.md sometimes leads to split brain problems when different team members use different tools. Just unnecessary.
I moved my personal finances from YNAB to plain text files, and a coding agent does the bookkeeping now. It remembers my preferences, and categorizing a month takes a couple of messages instead of an evening. Every change is a git commit, so I can see what it did and revert. Three months in, not going back. Anyone else using a coding agent for personal finances?
This is exactly why we migrated Accountant24 from a pi plugin to a proper desktop app, and it was worth it!
I love agentic coding harnesses, but they shouldn't be primarily terminal-based. The terminal is great for quick and precise commands, but information density is extremely low and UI affordances are minimal. Maybe provision of TUIs is worthwhile for occasional use (when

A very fun exercise is to export all your bank accounts (as CSV) both personal and business and stock broker And dump it all into Claude Code and ask it to make a little dashboard showing your spending It's hard to know how much you actually spend over lots of accounts so this
