When Uganda voted to end oil importation through Kenya, President’s adviser David Ndii wrote on X asking if they will fly it. Uganda now seems keen on importing their oil through Tanzania, and Kenya Pipeline has sounded an alarm over the growth of Tanzania as an alternative importation route for petroleum products. But that’s not even the worst part of this story. In the G2G deal by the Government of Kenya, Uganda was factored. Remember transit accounts for 45% of our oil importation, and Uganda takes the bulk of that. If Uganda exits its deal with Kenya, where will we take that oil considering that the G2G agreement was volume based so can’t be changed. Who will pay for the surplus if Uganda and the other landlocked East African countries make good their threat to pull out of Kenya? Won’t that cost he passed to the Kenyan consumer? After internalizing the gravity of this situation, GoK officials intend to embark on shuttle diplomacy to Uganda, to plead with Museveni and to try offer him something small from what they are making after exploiting Kenyans and East African citizens, hoping that he will agree to stay in the Kenyan arrangement. And remember even if Uganda imports ITS OWN oil through Mombasa, that will not address the issue of what Kenya will have lost in terms of the volumes the country has been getting from us, and were factored in the G2G agreement.

This is not Kondele but Karatina town, the home town of Ruto's running mate Rigathi Gachagua. The ground has declared it is either Raila Odinga or Baba.
