I've seen enough token buyback announcements in crypto to know that promises don't mean much until something actually happens. @grvt_io just completed its first one. 1.1M ethereum:0xad29f2723fcdbcf665f210f25e06f97477e417cf bought from the open market and permanently burned. That's nearly 1% of the circulating supply. And there's an important distinction here. Those tokens aren't sitting in a treasury waiting to potentially re-enter circulation. They're gone, and anyone can verify the transactions onchain. The Foundation intends to continue buybacks monthly at its discretion, with a public dashboard tracking every round. But there's something else I'm paying attention to. GRVT 2.0 is coming, and the feature that interests me most is Yield as Margin. Think about it. Normally, you have to choose between keeping your capital invested to earn yield or moving it into a trading account as collateral. GRVT wants to remove that trade-off. → Earn yield through eligible Earn products → Use those balances as trading margin → Keep earning while your capital backs positions Of course, using yield-bearing assets as collateral doesn't eliminate trading or investment risks. If they execute this properly, it could make capital a lot more efficient for active traders. The buyback is already done. Now I'm more interested in seeing whether the products behind GRVT 2.0 can deliver. That's where things get interesting imo.

How to be always profitable on Papertrade Bookmark this before your next @papertrade_xyz session Understand how Papertrade works: > Synthetic perpetuals on HyperEVM > Up to 1000x leverage > No traditional trading fees or funding payments > Trades settle against the protocol's liquidity pool > Eligible realized losses mint $PAPER > Staked $PAPER can earn USDC distributions > Winning positions are subject to asymmetric payout mechanics The important part? Your trading PnL and your $PAPER rewards are two different things The real profitability formula: Total PnL = Trading PnL + USDC staking rewards − Hedging costs − Other expenses You can also track the potential value of your $PAPER holdings separately. But until you have a reliable way to value or sell those tokens, don't treat their hypothetical value as realized profit. How to manage your positions: - Avoid blindly using 1000x leverage - Calculate liquidation prices before entering - Use position sizes you can afford to lose - Understand how winning settlements are calculated - Track your realized PnL instead of your trading volume - Never increase leverage How hedging could help: - Open a position on Papertrade - Take the opposite exposure on another perp exchange - Match the notional exposure as closely as possible - Monitor funding, fees, and execution differences - Calculate the combined PnL of both positions What can destroy your profitability: • Liquidation on either venue • Price differences between exchanges • Funding costs • Papertrade's asymmetric profit payouts • Overestimating PAPER's future value • Opening unnecessary positions just to generate losses A delta-neutral position isn't automatically risk-free. The actual edge: The goal isn't to lose as much money as possible to mint tokens. It's to understand whether the combination of trading results, PAPER acquisition costs and actual staking distributions creates positive net returns. Protect your capital, track your actual returns, and never mistake token emissions for free money.
