Good bye Twitter. You are gone from my phone, you are out of my life. I need #drumpf back here like I need a hole in my head. Both sides should be able to speak, but when one extreme is banning books and abortion and one wants to forgive student loans... Bye #GoodByeTwitter
Hi @Lightroom Since my computer crashed a year ago and I lost my stand alone copy of lightroom I just can't find the joy in my hobby anymore. I will not pay 120SEK a month for a program to handle my photos and hence I sit with a bricked collection and don't take new photos either
'Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself. Why are you hitting yourself?' -Putin, 2022
I don't know how many error reports I/my computer has set over the years, but have I ever gotten a helpful reply back? I really feel that this is a one sided relationship.
Spent the entire morning fixing One Excel sheet to automatically congregate all my class plans for the current and coming week. One sheet to rule them all. One sheet to find it all and in the darkness guide me.
- An imperfect solution now is better than a perfect solution that will never happen. - Doing the thing is often less painful than thinking about doing the thing. - Acknowledging how the problem is affecting you can reduce its power over you. 10/
One of the biggest challenges us #introverts face... #lifestruggles #hardlife #PokemonGO
Darn it. I forgot that not everything you do on a computer is autosaved. Lost an hour of videoediting in kdenlive when it crashed. Luckily I had learnt alot during that time, and it took less than ten minutes to recreate the project. #CtrlS
Had to reinstall my comp and lost my #lightroom 5 istall. There is no way I will pay 120 sek a month for a software. So now Im looking for alternatives that I can migrate to. I would rather not want to start over, but @Lightroom s greedy plan does not work for a hobyist like me.
It is 2021 and nobody has implemented a quick and easy way (e.g. a QR code) that lets you add an appointment to your calendar. Every time someone wants me to be at a place a certain time I want to be able to just blip it into my calendar of choice!
If you listen to the podcast 'LeVar Button Reads' (which you really should) you will, in one episode, hear the wonderful @levarburton tell you "I love you, I simply love you" (And I just spent twenty minutes finding the episode because I needed to hear it again.)
@katpalaeo @esrfsynchrotron @SoM_esrf @BristolPalaeo @HugoDutel1 Great ingenuity.
You know the feeling: 'when you get all excited that there is a totally new kind of Lego brick in your birthday present (Hedwig, Harry Potter's owl), but then you realize that you are 44 and that plenty of new pieces have come since you were a kid'
Just spent a couple of hours automating a task that I do five times per semester that usually take ten minutes each. Did I really have to do it now? No. Did I save a lot of time now? Also no. Did I have a couple of hours free? Hell no. Was it fulfilling? OH YES!
#CobraKai s1e7 "Show me wash the windows, show me wax on wax off" Chills, literally chills! :)
The beautiful and gratifying universality of mathematics as described by the great David Hilbert, who died OTD 1943: "Mathematics knows no races or geographic boundaries; for mathematics, the cultural world is one country."
Learning is underrated. Grades are overrated. 🧠
Forgot to do the hashtag thing... #barnsleyfern #python #colaboratory
Darn it @numberphile This was not what I was supposed to spend my evening on... I have papers to grade...
