‘Zionist’ is a historic term. In the current context, its meaning is that you don’t think Israel should be annihilated and/or conquered and subsumed by Islam. If you are not a ‘Zionist’, by definition you think Israel - the world’s only tiny jewish state, and only that state, should be wiped out. That’s why the term ‘Zionist’ is a misnomer here. Given that Israel has already *been* established, and survived multiple genocidal attempts by Muslim armies to destroy it, it makes no sense to say you are or aren’t a Zionist, it’s like saying you are or aren’t an ‘abolitionist’ - sure, if slavery existed in the West (as it does in parts of the Muslim world) I’d be an abolitionist. But it doesn’t, so the term is not relevant now. Similarly, Israel exists. So the divide isn’t between ‘Zionists’ and ‘anti-Zionists’, it’s between people who want to wipe out a state and those who don’t.

Basic education piece: Not all Jewish people are Zionists. Lots of Zionists aren't Jews. The Board of Deputies largely self identity as Zionists. The Media often report the Board of Deputies as the opinion of Jewish people. Yet many Jewish people say #NotInOurName

@kareemwmasri @ZackPolanski There was no state of Palestine in 1948. ‘Zios’ offered to split the land and create a Palestinian state, in response Arabs invaded and tried to destroy Israel and murder everyone. They lost their war of aggression humiliatingly.

This I think ranks among the truly maddest things to have come out of posting on here and writing/talking about politics more generally. An invite from the Free Press (@TheFP) - out of the blue - to attend their ‘creator summit’, in New York with a handful of some of the biggest and best writers, political content creators and so on in the world. In the middle of Times Square, with a massive billboard lit up to advertise the event. An honour. Genuinely wild and slightly surreal, but amazing.

French cities are filled with large mobs of people who are actively glorifying the jihadists who committed these almost unimaginably horrific crimes, while burning those cities to the ground. Everything about that is insane. It’s insane these crimes were ever committed, insane we’ve imported massive numbers of lunatics who are now celebrating those crimes while burning down French cities, insane that ‘anti-racists’ in France are joining them, insane we’re being told this is about schoolbooks and a ‘protest by French schoolkids’ etc. When the consequences of the groupthink and dogma that has dominated our cultural and political life come home to roost, as they are now, they are genuinely astonishing to witness at times.

It’s a massive riot. It doesn’t matter if it supposedly ‘started as a protest about books.’ Riots almost never *immediately* start as a riot. The significant story here is that European nations are full of people who will happily burn down their own countries at the slightest opportunity. This includes (but is not limited to) people who are, in all but name, so unassimilated as to be foreign, and home-born self-hating left-wing agitators. The latter group’s ideology is, in a more moderate form, essentially pushed on us non-stop by our cultural classes, and has resulted in the massive, epoch-defining issues raised by the beliefs and attitudes of the former group going unaddressed for decades.

People think there’s some magical cut off point when hardline progressives will say ‘oh that’s taking it too far’. History shows literally the exact opposite is true (look at the Red Guard in China, Pol Pot, Stalin’s purges etc). These were all rabidly pushed and supported by people in those regimes who believed they were furthering the cause of the revolution, of ‘social justice’, etc. Even as they wiped out millions and millions of people. We just don’t know much about all of that as a society, because leftists have largely dominated the curriculum. These people don’t look at the world and react to it as it actually is, they have a quasi-faith based belief in and commitment to their cultish ideological worldview and they shoehorn all world events to fit within and confirm it. That’s how we can watch privileged kids in Paris smiling and justifying it as ‘progress’ and ‘collateral damage’ etc as massive armed mobs of fighting aged men - often wearing the flags of foreign regimes, sometimes including leftists themselves - literally burn down their cities. It’s on everyone else to make sure these people aren’t able to run the show.
