Seen in the picture, are a number of children whose house is exploded by the "only democracy in the middle east". This is a daily scene in Gaza, and these are the "lucky" ones who have survived the heavy weaponry (so far) to struggle with famine, disease and continued attacks.

I may be wrong, but I don't like the term "queer culture". To me it implies that I'm not queer if I don't adopt certain stereotypes. There's nothing exotic among my features. I just try to continue the same life I had before transition, just better.

This week, with help from my brother, I came out to my mom. Mom reacted as I expected: worried, confused and shocked. She told me I'm her child and she loves me regardless, and spent the week educating herself on trans identities. 💜 My social transition is now complete! ☺️

Ok, reality check time: I don't pass. Not even close. At work, people stare at me, some times with mocking smiles. It's incredible that I can tolerate all these gazing looks, and even get considerable euphoria for presenting as myself. BUT, I want to pass, and I will.

First week back at work was overwhelming with emotions. Shaving and preparing for the public eye everyday was a chore, but being named and gendered correctly by me peers was fantastic. I have so much to learn and do.

Good morning you all! This trans woman has been locked out of job market for two horrible years, and is really hopeful to get an offer this week. Tuesdays are apparently the most likely day for offers to be sent, so wish my broken soul some luck today! 💜
