Shows what a fantastic job schools in Wales have done for 2 years under immense pressure, and what they had always done before that. Wellbeing should always remain at the heart of any education system. Let’s hope the government use these findings to invest where they should.

I’ve written to my colleagues in schools today for the last time as Education Minister. This has been the best job I've ever had. All jobs are important, but being Minister for Education in Wales, supporting development of our new curriculum, has been the job of a lifetime.

One of our school leaders in Wales was asked to submit three priorities for his school in the forthcoming year. My advice? 1. Today 2. Tomorrow 3. The next day. That’s as far as we can go at the moment. This is crisis leadership.

So..my neighbour got a predicted A from her teacher, B in her mock...and was given an E. A kid from the private school on the next road got a C in her mock, a predicted B and was awarded an A*. Just...? Kids..you'll be of voting age in the next general election. Remember.

Hearing some of the stories today coming out from local schools about withdrawn university places from incredibly hard working students who have overcome odds most of us have never even heard of, let alone faced, is making me weep.

📣 NEW YEAR 7 PUPILS 📣 To confirm, we would like pupils to be in school uniform in September. However, in the first instance, blazers should not be worn. Pupils will be expected to wear blazers as soon as it is safe to do so. #TeamTâf

Would it not have been far simpler and less heartbreaking to give AS pupils their CAGs this summer? Next year would have been a fairer time to properly assess their progress and overall achievement. This was totally unnecessary.
