Sorry for the long post but I think it must be said. More developers on roblox really need to realize that there are things to learn from any top/successful game. Even if you want to make something completely different! They don't just blow up randomly. I've seen so many…

Half of Roblox's problem is their documentation website is straight ass with a side of ugly. Then about 40% of their problem is their asset management is dogshit with no good third party alternative. And the remaining 10% is the developer base needing to naturally mature.

Bingo. It does seem their focus is shifting towards listening to us for better in-house tooling, which feels like a win- but it's really indicative of the greater problem that demands they keep everything first-party.

@MerelyRBLX @grilme99 Roblox wins on ability to get a game out of the door faster, but loses at tooling - Roblox is making a mistake on not giving first-class support for external editors, while simultaneously accepting that third-party software for 3D modeling is fine.
