Me: really enjoyed the call. Please see attached financial modeling test Gen Z applicant: this looks like a lot of work. Without knowing where I stand in the process, I’m not comfortable spending 90 minutes in Excel Me:…well…I can tell you where you stand now
@mu2myoc I stand in solidarity w/ the applicant.
@mhprvpmvp Finally, a hero who will stand for the downwardly-mobile
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp condescension is the biggest hallmark of downward mobility. do you think you are invisible or that people are just going to forget things like this? everyone is connected now. we all see you saying these things even when we don’t reply. what are you doing?
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp I've had multiple highly compensated jobs over the years. I've also taken many pre-employment exams and scored well. These were never the same roles. Pre-employment tests are a waste of the applicants time.
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp Lol you're mad they won't give you free labor
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp You sound absolutely insufferable to work for that no dollar amount is worth. It sounds like you may need more luck in life than your applicant. So good luck.
@mu2myoc “Dad, I didn’t get the job. I’ll keep plugging away though as soon as I get back from Bali!!” “Proud of you, son.”
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp You should be striving more to work for us for free
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp I would kill for an applicant who removes himself from the process so easily. Deciding between the good ones has been time consuming
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp "What do you mean I can't compel people to work without paying them?!?"
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp That applicant has something you should be looking for - a sense of their own value. Asking for free work from applicants strongly hints at a toxic work culture. Posting about it here to try to dunk on them confirms it and cements it in stone. That applicant dodged a bullet.
@mu2myoc @mhprvpmvp if you're not interested in paying people for work you need done, why run a business at all? just keep "trying to hire" and just do even MORE wage theft
