Nothing matches Capcom’s 2D sprite work and animation from this period of time. Seriously, this stuff should be the benchmark and taught in classes for the foreseeable future. SFIII, DarkStalkers, and the Marvel games are the paragons of sprite-based animation.

@AccountableGOP I assume Ben went on to say why he thinks Trump doesn’t want the evidence released, and that it’s some reason other than “boy these sure do make me look bad.” I would guess that the other reason would be “boy these sure do make a lot of people associated with me look bad”

@jchensor @Di3mini0n My favorite commentary moment of all time is David saying at this event “Jebailey does in fact have some skills, I’ll admit it” and you, the happy warrior heart of the FGC, darkly responding “I won’t”

@JStein_WaPo I mean, he said it. All that matters to him in this bill is getting the stormtrooper and abduction budget. Once they can send as many masked ICE agents as they want to any supposedly questionable polling place without warning, whatever other policies they want will follow.

@WendyDFW78 @matthewstoller I could be wrong, but based on his last tweet about Republican threats to Mamdani, I read it as him saying that we’re getting closer to this actually happening, rather than ragging on Dems. But it’s hard to tell which way he’s leaning moment to moment. By design, I think.

@chonkychihuahua I don’t think that’s it. What you read and how you read it matters a lot. People can read harrowing accounts of other people suffering and come away with “what a horrible place, sad for them, too bad there’s nothing to be done about it”

Many people were able to suss out that the populism was phony when they observed the leader of the movement was a mascot for capitalist excess and a notorious conman

I keep having to suppress my impulse to say, “No! This is not how you do it!” But it’s so painful to see a populist movement actually win power and then for no reason other than cowardice and weakness just hand the reins to a billionaire. But you don’t need to hear from me. I

I used to love the site “Superdickery dot com” that had all the classic covers of Superman being a jerk to everyone. Hilarious stuff. And then I realized yeeeeeears later: comics were the first clickbait: covers that hint at what’s in it, but are stuff that just don’t happen.
