Are you doing a lot of distributed tracing in your apps? I hope so. We don't talk a lot about @googlecloud Trace, but it's a cool service that integrates with the logging system to help you troubleshoot app problems. cloud.google.com/blog/products/…
An AI assisted cloud for devs and ops folks? @googlecloud Duet AI for Developers is now GA and free until Feb 1st. Let’s try it out together! How about we build a #dotnet API from scratch? You don’t have to install anything, and all you need is a Google Cloud account. A 🧵 …
If you want to do synthetic monitoring in @googlecloud—simulations of user behavior to check outside-in performance—now it's easier to do so. This feature of Cloud Monitoring is now GA, and has new integrations for building tests and checking results. cloud.google.com/blog/products/…
@greentheonly It’s not just having to stop, it’s having to stop somewhere specific. With a gas car you can fill up and then stop to eat anywhere you want. With a Tesla you have exactly one choice and you have to stay in walking distance of the supercharger.
@GergelyOrosz Curious why you say it’s being shut down and people need to move? The comms say Squarespace is taking it over. Looks to be transparent. Do you know something to suggest they won’t run it well? Why the rush to move?
@elonmusk When will autowipers actually work and stop being beta?
@tmu I was confused until I learned recently that MLOps and AIOps are not in fact the same thing. Congrats!
We just GA'ed the @googlecloud Managed Service for Prometheus, and it may already be a top option in the market. It's a drop-in replacement for what you have now, and offers leading scale, price, and retention, all with a global backplane. cloud.google.com/stackdriver/do…
BigQuery now supports JSON natively: cloud.google.com/bigquery/docs/… Bring the semi-structured data!
@GergelyOrosz Reduces legal risk as well. Can they guarantee the company’s product is compliant with data residency, privacy, access controls, etc. while running on another public cloud? Lots easier when it’s on the new company’s infra.
I think my weekend tech project is going to involve playing around more with @GoogleCloudTech Operations stuff. We just added a histogram view to Cloud Logging, which makes so much sense once you see it. cloud.google.com/logging/docs/v…
@Jenna_Marbles @SiriusXMHits1 what happened to the #youtube15? Is it gone forever? My son listened every week...
@Cheesecake did one of your chefs really think that this was OK to put on a salad? Brown, shriveled, moldy avocado?
@elonmusk Tesla feature idea: remote camera access. Be able to see still images or live video from the car’s cameras via the mobile app while you’re away from the car. Check weather conditions, see why the alarm triggered, monitor the area around where it’s parked.
@VZWSupport Nope, thanks for escalating. For comparison here’s @projectfi on @TMobile in the same spot. Disappointing to pay extra for a “premium” network and not get it. speedtest.net/my-result/a/43…
@VZWSupport this is basically unusable. FLL terminal 1 gate B2.
@DIRECTVService having an account outage? Can't sign in, "There was a problem migrating your account, please contact customer care.(RBR022)"
@mikesparr @stackdriver @googlecloud We’re also working with GKE and other GCP teams to reduce log volume and add verbosity controls. You should only get (and have to pay for) the logs you want and use.
@mikesparr @stackdriver @googlecloud All projects get first 50GB free. Logs disabled by default is bad UX since it makes it harder to debug when you’re getting up and running—another thing to remember to turn on. But new high-volume logs (e.g. VPC Flow logs) are opt-in to avoid surprises.
