One of the very best aspects of SF culture is that nobody under the age of ~27 cares about what college you went to. You are judged on the value of what you have produced for the world and not a decision that an admissions committee made for you when you were 17
It is interesting how much technical verbiage leaks into everyday speech. I hear "fine tuning" and "distillation" used in a non technical context all the time now.

You can use AI to create the coolest and most engaging explainers in the world. Grab a coding agent, ask it for an explainer, deploy it, share the link.
So many ideas can be derived from this. Imagine a platform of vetted visualizations by experts in each field. Games or quizzes where you repair or reassemble the systems. A prompt input to extend them…

Hardware looks scary until you break it down into small steps. So I built an app that takes you through Arduino one circuit at a time.

it's easy to make fun of ur competitors for falling to sec vulns
but know that you, yes, you, any one, can get hit
and you know that nefarious actors are running as many sessions they can to break in

Here's Why Reading Old Books Is More Important Than Ever:
“Every age has its own outlook. It is specially good at seeing certain truths and specially liable to make certain mistakes. We all, therefore, need the books that will correct the characteristic mistakes of our own period. And that means the old books. All contemporary writers share to some extent the contemporary outlook—even those, like myself, who seem most opposed to it. … None of us can fully escape this blindness, but we shall certainly increase it, and weaken our guard against it, if we read only modern books. Where they are true they will give us truths which we half knew already. Where they are false they will aggravate the error with which we are already dangerously ill. The only palliative is to keep the clean sea breeze of the centuries blowing through our minds, and this can be done only by reading old books. Not, of course, that there is any magic about the past. People were no cleverer then than they are now; they made as many mistakes as we. But not the same mistakes. They will not flatter us in the errors we are already committing; and their own errors, being now open and palpable, will not endanger us.”
— C.S. Lewis, On the Reading of Old Books
This is actually insane. I built a fully MMO with ASCII as the graphics. Every single thing you see on screen is a character. Fully multiplayer RPG MMO vibe coded. I've never seen a graphic engine like this in my life.
Waiting for AI doomers to knock it, but you can't.
less than five years ago, we were all typing queries into google, scrolling through endless ads, then ten blue links, clicking on websites full of more ads & pop ups, manually digging around for answers, hitting the back button, refining our searches, & repeating the whole process over & over again.
thinking about this makes me want to take a shower. it feels gross.
just imagine where will be in another few years?
