September 12th, 2005 Composer Danny Elfman comments on not returning for Spider-Man 3, says working on 2 “was the worst film experience I’ve had in 20 years. It was all pure insanity… Spider-Man 2 was not Sam. I don’t know who it was, but it wasn’t Sam.”

@finalequinox_ Have you read the arc where Horo Horo fights a bear or something while there's a pause in the tournament? That one really does have filler energy

@AkihiroHino If you are shortening game development, why has none of your games' development actually shortened?

I'll tell you exactly why: This was the 90's. A lot of the do's and don'ts of online and nerd culture hadn't been set in stone yet. Also, the people making these shows were boomers, who grew up in an era where social norms were more ardently enforced, with much less tolerance for people on the spectrum hyperfixating out loud in your direction. So you take guys like that, and put them in an environment where online nerd communities are starting to form, in the 90's climate where angry nerds had no chill. It was common for these shows to receive "fan" letters that were rambling manifestos of hyper-obsessed autists that really did think it was a crime against God and man that the writers might contradict what they viewed as established canon. Not to mention angry letters over plot and character decisions. Nowadays people just vent these things into the social media ether. Back then they sent letters directly to the source. Take a look at the Eltingville Club. Evan Dorkin wrote that comic based on the people who would send in angry letters to the editor during his tenure at DC Comics. Then you have an extra factor with Freakazoid specifically; the writers had already had many, many sour experiences with super fans, to the point where they stopped attending conventions for awhile. Especially in regards to the furries. In fact, Tiny Toons took a parting shot at one specific guy that was a particular nuisance for them before the show ended (the one in the pic). The guys at WB dealt with the worst of fandom first-hand, and frankly I don't blame them for their vitriol. Imagine you're being approached by furries with zero filter during the height of Minerva Mink's popularity. In the early internet days, people would share rule 34 (before the term existed) with any cast and crew who had public email addresses. Why? Because in their hypersexual social ineptitude, they thought they'd wanna see it. This isn't a matter of "oh but he's just passionate," animators and writers of this era were face-to-face with a sea of autistic fandom before any of the online etiquette of today was established. There were no rules, there were no boundaries, and the fandom was deeply lacking in any ability to read the room. The "earnest and passionate" fan you see in these bits is a sanitized version of the trainwrecks these people faced on a daily basis that were made palatable for children's television. If they were more accurate portrayals, they'd be gleefully reciting their Buster x Babs erotic fanfiction, asking for approval. In between giving death threats for writing an episode that contradicted a previous one.

I never understood why showrunners made these mocking depictions of their own fans, I never got the feeling that they were playful jabs It's specially odd with this guy here because... He's so earnest and jolly. He just wants talk about his interests and invite you in.

@MarcoBreak3 @Clayxou Live Action Role Play. Pero los jóvenes por alguna razón decidieron convertirlo en "pretendes que eres fan de algo cuando en realidad no sabes nada."
