This is so stupid. This isn’t quiet quitting. This is doing your job and having healthy boundaries.
@nicolefv I started a new job beginning of this year, setting boundaries from day 1. I have lost weight, I am finishing books, I have picked up running again and I am one happy camper… 😃
@nicolefv Healthy quitting. What next? These calories don't count if I eat them upside down?
@nicolefv The one where I see a big split is whether you’re available via email or Teams while on vacation- I’ve had a few bosses look at me funny when I tell them I won’t be using Mail/Teams on vacation- for true emergency, call me, but that’s no longer a PTO day
@nicolefv Absolutely!! I am about to start my new role and will be setting this and it’s my goal to make sure my team has healthy boundaries too.
@nicolefv My boundary starting about five years ago was just not having my work contact on my phone. If I'm not being compensated for an on-call shift, I'm not being on call. And, more recently, I just don't carry my phone at all for many outings. Sorry, can't answer. I'm grocery shopping
@nicolefv Initially I thought I am missing something but seems that some people need to revisit their understanding of healthy work life balance and disengagement.
@nicolefv Working late doesn't mean a person is going above and beyond it means there is something wrong that they can't get their work done during work hours.
@nicolefv Error code: ETOOMUCHCAPITALISM
@nicolefv Having boundaries respected when I changed jobs this past year led to a measurable increase to my quality of life and health (physical and mental) I did not think was possible.
