EU Regulatory Inconsistency: Why does Apple face lock-in rules in the EU while Tesla doesn't?
@Apple is blocked from launching Siri AI with iOS 27 in the EU because it doesn't allow alternative AI assistants on iPhone — a competition concern under the Digital Markets Act.
@Tesla dominates EU EVs and locks drivers into Grok with zero alternatives. Same lock-in. Same dominant market position. Yet Grok has already launched in the EU with no requirement to allow Gemini, Siri, Claude or any other option.
If the EU's principle is user choice and preventing vendor lock-in, it must apply equally to everyone. Selective enforcement against big tech undermines trust in EU institutions.
Fair rules for all, or credible rules for none. Stop the inconsistency and the discrimination — EU customers are left with inferior iPhones.

The last 48 hours in $SIVE / $SIVEF have been absolute madness. If you are confused by the extreme volatility, you aren't paying attention to the underlying corporate finance masterclass playing out in real-time.
Here is a summary of the greatest 48-hour fundamental shift in recent Swedish tech history:
🚨 1. The AI Hardware Validation
It started with Jabil (a $30B Tier-1 manufacturer) selecting Sivers DFB lasers for their next-gen 1.6T LRO transceivers. Sivers officially became the upstream hardware chokepoint for the 2027 AI datacenter buildout.
🇺🇸 2. The War Chest & Nasdaq Listing
Hours later, management raised 125 MSEK from Tier-1 Nordic funds (DNB, Storebrand) at a 30% premium to the 30-day VWAP, with a negligible 2.5% dilution. They simultaneously announced they are evaluating a Nasdaq US Dual Listing with a PCAOB audit already underway. The 'Valley of Death' is officially dead.
🧹 3. The Cap Table Cleanup
Achilles Capital (tied to a legacy owner) filed for restructuring, needing to divest tech assets. Retail panicked over a "massive overhang." The reality? A distressed seller is being forced to hand over their block of shares, hopefully directly to US tech institutions or strategic partners right before the Nasdaq listing. This would be an off-market transfer of power.
🪤 4. The Retail Broker Shakeout & Short Squeeze
Today, Swedish retail broker @avanzabank panicked at the volatility and dropped collateral value to 0%, forcing retail margin calls. (I trimmed my tiny 4% margin and immediately initiated a capital transfer to @montrose_io . I need a broker built for investors, not a babysitter). Meanwhile, updated data shows shorts actually DOUBLED DOWN into the news, pushing short interest to 5% today. They are arrogantly fighting a fundamental breakout, using the retail panic as cover. More than 1 in 20 shares must eventually be bought back.
🎯 The Bottom Line:
$SIVE is now well funded, validated by Tier-1 AI players, heading to Nasdaq to close the absurd US valuation gap, and aggressively shaking out weak legacy owners.
$SIVE $SIVEF #Photonics#AI
@aleabitoreddit Fully agree, this is a super cycle, some are mid some still early in the cycle.
$SIVE still early. $300m market cap, multiples will be more relevant at a later stage.

After my last post, a lot of people are asking deeper questions about Sivers $SIVE:
Is there a real moat?
Do they have patents?
How strong is their position in CPO / ELS?
Short answer: it’s more interesting than it looks.
Let’s dive deeper.
andersstorm.substack.com/p/the-next-bot…#AI#Photonics
@KobeissiLetter Agree, optical have had a big run on AI data center demand. This is likely just the first leg. To understand the next phase, this post on $SIVE (+200%) is worth a read, part of the standards ecosystem with $LITE.

Arrays + InP looks like the next wave.
I’ve been quiet for a few days, but I haven't been idle.
The recent narrative from Swedish financial media regarding Sivers Semiconductors ( $SIVE / $SIVEF ) has been incredibly frustrating. They label the data-driven retail discussion as a "cult" (shoutout to @aleabitoreddit), while completely refusing to do any fundamental research themselves.
It's lazy journalism disguised as "we've seen this before, so we know better."
In Sweden, you are expected to safely park your money in legacy industrials like Volvo, Atlas Copco, or Investor AB. They are fantastic companies, but they are not how you capture the next massive technological and geopolitical hyper-trend.
The research I see here on X is informative and rooted in hard, verifiable fundamentals. Don't buy the stock if you don't believe the thesis, but at least look at the actual data.
Since the media won't do the due diligence, I built a platform to do it for them.
Introducing Asymmetry Research.
I’ve compiled a complete, open-access deep dive into the $SIVE ecosystem.
What’s inside:
🌐 The Ecosystem Map: An interactive node graph tracking Sivers' chips from the foundries directly to the Hyperscalers and the Pentagon.
📊 The Fundamentals: Confirmed data on the supply chain, competitors, and management.
🔗 The Source Vault: Fully sourced info cards verifying every contract, partnership, and macro catalyst.
Data beats arrogance. Check the thesis, follow the silicon, and make up your own mind.

(Disclaimer: I am long $SIVE and fundamentally believe in their role within these starting megatrends. Not financial advice. Do your own research).
1/2 I’m sharing this story because I’ve been getting a lot of questions about Sivers Semiconductors from people who have only recently discovered this quite unique company.
andersstorm.substack.com/p/the-light-at…
2/2 There are also a number of misconceptions, particularly in Swedish financial media, where the understanding of semiconductors is still relatively limited, and where few have paid close attention to the supplier ecosystem behind the emerging AI era.
I just bought ~.5%-1% of $SIVE as a company.
I said their future CW laser chokepoint is grossly mispriced.
And I put my money where my mouth is.
Especially when they're the confirmed light source for Jabil, $MRVL Celestial, O-Net, and other hyperscalers.
Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) is the next big thing in AI data centers. Nvidia, hyperscalers, they all need it. $SIVE is a pure-play InP laser/photonics company with confirmed CPO partnerships. Lumentum is up 900%. Coherent is up 300%. Sivers is still trading at a 130M market cap.
IEA expects that the build-out of AI datacenters will almost double the amount of power consumption by 2030 compared to 2024.
Sivers’ technology is a key enabler of next-generation energy-efficient data centers.
Read the report: iea.org/reports/energy…#AI#photonics
@QuantumDom It’s like $NVDA, there’s a whole ecosystem but sometimes the largest beneficiary is the direct GPU or Laser supplier like $SIVE or $LITE.
Instead of the $POET, $FN type companies.
There’s some high margin exceptions like Eoptolink
1. $SIVE (Sivers Semiconductors) – The AI Photonics Gateway 🚀
Key Events (March 2026):✅ Satellite 2026: Live demos of "Maverick" & "Cloudchaser". Tech is officially production-ready for the $0.5B Satcom market. ✅ LiDAR Breakthrough: Strategic customer ramping in Q4 2026.
Yesterday I posted about the @arenaphysica launch, saying: "Sivers keeps adding opportunities, haven't had time to dig into this yet but will do and try to come back with a takeaway."
I’ve spent some time going down the rabbit hole on their cap table and engineering team. The fundamental asymmetry here is staggering.
Let’s connect the dots on how a ~$415M market cap company just got embedded into the epicenter of US Defense Tech. 👇
1. What is Arena Physica? 🧠
As I understand it, think of it as ChatGPT, but for hardware blueprints. While LLMs learned language, Arena's AI (The EMFM) learned the laws of physics. Instead of engineers spending months manually drawing chip designs and running slow simulations to see if a drone radar overheats, this foundation model generates and verifies physical hardware designs 18,000x faster than legacy tools. Arena's software designs the hardware; partners like Sivers physically build it.
2. The "Smart Money" Cap Table 💰
This isn't a standard Silicon Valley startup. It’s backed by the absolute highest echelons of the US defense and intelligence apparatus:
🛡️ Peter Thiel / Founders Fund (The godfather of Defense Tech, Palantir/Anduril)
🛡️ Gen. David Petraeus (Former CIA Director)
🛡️ Shield Capital (Exclusive National Security VC)
3. The Deployment Partners 🤝
Arena’s AI designs the hardware, but they need physical partners to actually build the ecosystem. They officially selected four:
✅ @AMD (AI Compute)
✅ @anduriltech ($14B Defense Unicorn)
✅ @BauschLomb (Advanced Manufacturing)
✅ @SiversSemicond (SATCOM & 5G)
4. The "MixComm" Mafia (The real Alpha) 🕵️♂️
How does a Swedish tech firm land in a Peter Thiel-backed US defense project alongside AMD and Anduril? Look at Arena’s engineering leadership. The Chief Scientist is Harish Krishnaswamy. The Distinguished RF Engineer is Arun Natarajan.
Who are they?
They are the original founders of MixComm (which Sivers acquired). Harish essentially runs Sivers' Wireless division, and they are now building the physics AI for Arena. This Thiel-backed AI ecosystem is fundamentally calibrated to output designs that integrate Sivers' mmWave and RF hardware. Sivers is acting as the "Merchant Silicon" for this network.
5. The Commercial Proof 📄
In January, Sivers announced an $800k NRE development contract with a "leading US defense contractor" for software-defined drone systems. Given the official Anduril partnership today, the math does itself.
The Takeaway ⚖️
Arena Physica officially launches their Foundation Model in a few days. Smart money is funding the software ecosystem that makes Sivers' physical technology the standard for future AI and defense hardware. While Sivers has re-rated to ~$415M, they are still a micro-cap compared to the multi-billion dollar giants they are now partnered with.
The convergence of software-defined defense and physical RF bottlenecks is here.

Disclaimer: I am long $SIVE. This represents my personal analysis based on public data, not financial advice.
$SIVE is straight-up printing national-security + AI datacenter tickets at the same time 🔥
January 13 2025 they locked the actual CHIPS Act contracts with the Northeast Microelectronics Coalition Hub - two separate monster programs:
Full-duplex Electronic Warfare (STAR) arrays with self-interference cancellation
Next-gen 5G/6G FR3 beamformer ICs + arrays
Year-one cash: $11.6M already wired in ($5.6M EW + $6M comms). CEO flat-out said on the Q4 call that Year-2 EW funding is basically closed at $6.6M (20% step-up). Multi-year non-dilutive total heading toward $30M+.
Who are they building this stuff with?
Straight Tier-1 primes: BAE Systems, Raytheon (RTX), Ericsson, MIT Lincoln Lab, Columbia, BU, Northeastern.
And they just dropped another $800k strategic development contract on January 15 from a top US defense player for next-gen software-defined mmWave beamformers.
Defense opportunity pipeline exploded +64% to $453M. One LiDAR lead customer is now officially ramping production Q4 2026 with $53M–$138M cumulative revenue potential from that single design win alone.
Photonics side is still cooking too: O-Net + Enablence ELS modules live for hyperscaler CPO, Ayar Labs TeraPHY high-volume ramp, POET integrated light engines, Win Semi scaling, Jabil 1.6T pluggables already shipping.
Sub-$330M market cap. Tiny float. Debt cleaned. Cash from Uncle Sam flowing. Execution hitting on both AI infrastructure AND defense modernization.
This isn’t “important to national security.”
This is becoming indispensable across two generational waves at once.
2026 is the year the market finally catches on.
Not financial advice.
@aleabitoreddit one more thing you could research about $SIVE is the ChipAct funding.
sivers-semiconductors.com/press/sivers-s…
CEO said new funding was on the way for 2026 in the Q4 call.
Big names BAE Systems $BA.L
RTX Corporation (Raytheon) $RTX
Ericsson $ERICB / $ERIC

I honestly find it amusing...
You have Swedish local journalists like "Privata Affarer" with no background in advanced semis:
Scaring the company's majority-owned local Swedish retail investors out of their $SIVE positions.
Probably the highest upside tech-stock in their country at ~$320m MC.
And transferring positions to US investors who understand hyperscaler CPO/photonics supply chains better.
The local media is doing all the work for American investors? Thanks?
