The US "tests for everybody" thing that's kind of pathetic now probably started in Jan 2021 (when it was a good idea) but bureaucracy slowed it down so much that by the time everything was ready to go, it was no longer relevant but too many ppl spent too much time to let it go.

If you're ok with renaming things because the namesake was racist, you need to be ok with people in the future renaming things named after anybody who <eats meat, has a pet, uses plastic, X thing we can't even imagine>.
