I don’t throw the term out lightly, but any parenting community that doesn’t make space for adults struggling to regulate as well is ableist. Neurodivergency as a rule implies struggles in regulating due to over- or under-stimulation.

People seem to believe that you go to the doctor and get a diagnosis of "disabled", and without that then you're not really disabled. That's simply untrue. Disability is about how your condition(s) affect your quality of life, not necessarily the specific diagnosis.
