One of my favorite questions to ask people is, “Which do you value more - facts of beliefs?” Seeing the faces of people when they process that question tells you everything about them.
@iAmJuddy This is brilliant. I’ve never been presented a question like this. Thank you.
@iAmJuddy Yes. I think, without even realizing it, I base almost all decisions off of facts. Beliefs are too vague to be relied upon.
@iAmJuddy I work on cars for a living. Your car comes in, it won’t start. I believe it needs a fuel pump by the way it’s acting on initial inspection. However, I can only make a correct diagnosis on facts. Is there fuel in the tank, are the fuses okay, etc.
@iAmJuddy My son had a collapsed lung recently (he’s on the mend) and I appreciated the facts presented. X-rays, ct scans, blood tests, etc. Our confidence would have been low had the medical team said they believed it was a collapsed lung and proceeded without facts.
@iAmJuddy My major concern is that there seems to be a part of the population who are basing their thoughts and decisions on beliefs/feelings and what that could mean for all of us.
@iAmJuddy “I believe the election was stolen.” “I believe these charges and lawsuits are a witch hunt.” Okay, fine. If they are, let’s have the facts, not opinions, and let’s fix it. Will it hurt? Maybe.
