A few controversial things I believe:
1) A grown man with a family has no business getting on a ladder to put up Christmas lights.
2) a larger vehicle is safer than a smaller vehicle. Put your family in an SUV. Period. Crash ratings are a scam.
3) Pitbulls are a public nuisance.
4) politics is a total waste of time. Putting energy towards it is inversely correlated to happiness.
5) earning money is hard. $100k a year is a lot of money. Twitter acts like it’s easy but it isn’t.
6) sports betting is a disaster for society. Quietly destroying a lot of men’s lives.
7) waiting till 35 to think about kids is a huge mistake. These folks are all going to regret not having more, earlier.
8) SEC and Big10 schools are the new Ivy League. Wealthy families want to send their kids there, not Harvard or Stanford.
9) religion is making a comeback. And the people who get serious about it end up with better lives.
10) marrying a doctor or a lawyer is high status, but low enjoyment. These folks live stressful lives with very little flexibility.
11) vaping and weed are better for your body than alcohol, but worse for your career and life. They remove ambition and energy and make you less social.
12) giving our kids 75 vaccines is going to go down in history as a net-negative on society.
13) technology won’t actually advance a lot from here. Our physical worlds will largely be the same 20 years from now.
14) driverless cars are 20 years away. Waymo won’t make it out of the major cities with 25 mile an hour speed limits.
15) Virtual reality won’t become a thing. Nobody has any use for it.
16) 99% of people have no use for AI and it has reached 90% of its potential utility. Massive waste of electricity on the whole.
17) Web3 is a joke. Crypto is worthless. Bitcoin is a fad and is 100% speculative. Massive waste of electricity. Solves a problem that doesn’t exist.
18) electric vehicles will not become mainstream. They do more harm to the environment than good. Creating them and disposing of them is an environmental catastrophe.
19) Starlink is a miracle and ads 10x more value to society than the previous 5 things on this list combined. Elon needs a Nobel prize.
20) the fed has done a great job over the last 3 years with rates.
21) nuclear power is the only way forward. Solar and wind are not sustainable and are a total waste of money. Oil and gas is the only viable solution today and America should invest heavily in more production.
22) Silicon Valley influencers and Tech titans are out of touch with the true needs of Americans. They could benefit by spending some time in a Walmart. Most people are trying to figure out how to put food on the table. They don’t need another app for their meta glasses.
What’s something you believe that isn’t a common belief? Which one am I wrong about?
In 1961, while in Europe for medical treatment, Elizabeth Taylor was introduced to an infant girl by the German actress Maria Schell.
The baby was nine months old.
She was lying in a laundry basket supported by two old pillows.
She was severely malnourished.
She had painful abscesses across her body.
She had a deformed hip that doctors feared might prevent her from ever walking.
She did not cry.
She did not make sounds.
She lay quietly and watched the room with dark, attentive eyes.
Elizabeth Taylor picked her up and did not put her down for three days.
She bathed the child.
She held her.
She cared for her continuously until the infant, slow to respond at first, began to make sounds and reach for her bottle.
German adoption officials encouraged Taylor to select a different child — one without the health complications this baby carried.
Taylor refused.
She later described her position in documented interviews with characteristic directness: the officials wanted her to have a perfect baby, so she had to fight like a tiger to get this one.
To her, this child was already perfect.
The little girl was named Maria.
When Taylor married Richard Burton, Burton legally adopted Maria as well, and she became Maria Burton.
The process of healing her hip was long.
Taylor took Maria across Germany, Italy, and France, consulting doctors who disagreed about the prognosis.
For nearly two years, Maria was placed in a full-body cast as physicians attempted to determine whether she would ever be able to walk.
Eventually, a surgeon in Oxford, England, recommended an operation to insert a metal plate into the hip.
The surgery succeeded.
Maria walked.
Then she ran.
Then she grew up alongside her siblings — Liza, Christopher, Michael, and Eddie — in one of the most scrutinized families in the world.
Taylor has described the moment Maria spoke her first word in documented interviews, saying it was "Mama," and that when it happened she simply fell apart with joy.
Richard Burton, a man who kept detailed private diaries throughout his adult life, recorded the texture of family life with Maria in entries from 1966.
One evening over lamb stew, he sat down with five-year-old Maria and told her the story of her own life — where she had come from, how she had arrived, what the family had done to bring her home.
He noted in his diary how deeply the child listened.
Later that same year, he recorded another entry in which Maria told him she loved him and wanted always to be with him.
Maria Burton grew up to become a model.
She married and had two children of her own, whom she named Eliza and Richard — in honour of her parents.
She is now a grandmother.
She has worked with children's charities throughout her adult life.
The infant who lay in a laundry basket in Germany in 1961, silent and watchful, grew into a woman who passes the same quality of attention to the next generation.
Elizabeth Taylor was told to choose a different baby.
She chose this one.
And this one grew up.
Share so the story of Elizabeth Taylor and Maria — one of the quietest and most determined acts of the actress's life —
is remembered ♥️♥️
He was 34 years old 🇺🇸 🕊️
Born not breathing after a prolonged labour (described as a doctor's error), causing him brain damage that led to cerebral palsy.
Adopted weeks after birth because his mother had ovarian cancer and was told she could not have children. His younger sister arrived unexpectedly 11 years later.
Learned he was adopted around age 6–8 when a stepbrother bluntly told him his parents "don’t love you"
As a toddler, his legs were cast for six months; doctors predicted he would need a wheelchair for life.
His mother stretched his legs daily. He credits her persistence (and soccer) with helping him outgrow braces and crutches.
Shortly after his sister's birth, his mother was paralysed in a car accident. As a child he changed diapers, cared for her, and became the family's main breadwinner by 13
Severely bullied. His peers pushed him, stomped on and broke his hand and foot.
His mother shouted "Run, Forrest, Run!" while he played soccer in braces and casts.
His father had bipolar disorder and schizophrenia with little involvement; grandparents largely filled the parental role.
He has said he devoted his life to supporting his mother and sister and continued doing so as an adult.
As a teenager during Breaking Bad, he took ballroom dancing lessons (joking it was a social way to meet girls).
His maternal grandfather, who used a wheelchair after a stroke, taught him that "can't is a decision"
He and longtime partner Kennedy Suarez (together since 2018) became engaged in late 2025. He was promoting new projects in the days before his death.

Oh my
He has faced sooo much. So soooo much.
Just look at all what he has faced. His mother, his father, his grandfather, etc
Then he became an adult at 13 years old and had to take care of his sister when his mother was paralysed in the accident.
The bullying, everything.
.
.
So much painful history he has had. So many experiences at childhood.
They probably came flooding back to him recently and he just couldn't take it any longer.
He just couldn't anymore.
.
.
I don't know what to say. I'm very weak just writing all these and reading his history.
But if you are reading this and you have suicidal thoughts, before you commit anything, let's first talk and chat.
Please reach out to me anyhow you can. I'd love to see the memories you've created on Earth and share mine with you as well.
I won't judge you. Let's just share good memories with each other and perhaps see if we can create some more on this Earth. Perhaps it might give us a reason to hang on a little more
Perhaps

🚨 BREAKING: President Trump Reclassifies Marijuana To Schedule III – “I PROMISED COMMON SENSE. THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I’M DOING.” [VIDEO]
🔥 In a bold move grounded in medical science and realism, President Trump has reclassified marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III, placing it alongside codeine-based medications. The decision marks a major policy shift rooted in logic, not ideology.
🚨 A HISTORIC POLICY SHIFT BASED ON REALITY

🚨 California just voted to pass AB 2624 aka “The Stop Nick Shirley Act”:
This bill puts journalists at civil risk for investigating fraud and makes it harder to expose fraud in “immigration support services,” including NGOs, nonprofits and health care facilities that receive hundreds of millions from the state of California each year.
This bill would have made it criminal to expose fake hospices in LA or the Somali “learing center” in Minnesota if they then claim “reasonable fear” and the business owner gives a written demand not to post the video.
Plain and simple, California is trying to make it harder to expose fraud and scare individuals from investigating fraud in their communities, as they could be sued for an injunction to remove the video + forced to pay their attorney fees + minimum $4,000 in damages.
The Attorney General's wife, Mia Bonta, created this bill and is now trying to make it law. How is this not a conflict of interest?
California is full of FRAUDSTERS!
