Current #soil temp this morning in Sac Co in worked corn stalks. Dry soil will have larger swings in temps than damp soils because it takes less energy to change the temperature of air than water. Could see some wild numbers this week.

I didn’t have much faith that this rye #covercrop would come up thanks to #drought20. I was pleasantly surprised to find this today!! This will feed a lot of cows next spring!

After a discussion with a curious customer we decided to sort pods based on if they were aborting #soybeans in due to #drought20. 31% of the pods had aborted one or more. Now to find out what’s normal 🤔 #scout20
