@hunterhhedge @EWErickson @DavidBahnsen Yes, Cornyn was losing the run off (which is what I said). He was ahead (slightly) in the primary in March. That's all I was saying. Given how bad Cornyn lost, yes he clearly did something wrong in the runoff. But Trump definitely helped as well.

@hunterhhedge @EWErickson @DavidBahnsen In the March primary, Cornyn finished with 42%, Paxton with 40.5%. That's a verifiable fact. There's no cope, I don't really care. But let's stick with facts and not pretend like Trump's endorsement of Paxton and lengthy criticisims of Cornyn didn't play a part.

@EWErickson @DavidBahnsen This is some revisionist history/memory. Cornyn was slightly ahead in the March primaries. It was close (hence the runoff), but he was still slightly ahead. And it wasn't just Trump's endorsement of Paxton, it was his criticism of Cornyn over those previous months as well.

@EpsilonTheory That perspective has been obvious in your writing the last couple of years, and it's unfortunate you can't see outside of that any more.

@dividendology Is it possible that a 5% 10-year isn’t the end of the world historically? Or is it “ignorance is bliss”? Or maybe a little of both… 🤷‍♂️

@glarri @EpsilonTheory Because he can't see past his personal disdain for Bessent or anybody else tied to this administration. Understandable at times, but not productive, and oftentimes petulant.

@RBWfounder @EpsilonTheory You know how many times this has been said about previous administrations as well?

@JesseWFAA Is this going to affect severe potential or general coverage later today?

@RahagarTx @wfaaweather I wonder if that zero chance will change to at least a low chance for NWS soon: x.com/nwsfortworth/s…

Confidence is increasing that we will get at least one or two severe storms to develop off the dryline late this afternoon and evening. A strong capping inversion will keep storm coverage limited (less than 20%), but any storms that do develop could pack a punch. #txwx #dfwwx

@RudyHavenstein @EpsilonTheory But your description could apply to so many other politicians and past presidents. I’m definitely not a fan of his. But IMHO the problematic “TDS” is when your hatred of him skews your ability to analyze what’s happening through “clear eyes” - the hatred taints everything.

@RudyHavenstein @EpsilonTheory That's the loud minority. Treating everything this admin is doing as bad just because Trump is the President is also problematic. Everything doesn't have to be mutually exclusive.

@EpsilonTheory We've been on a healthshare since 2018. A few speedbumps, but it's overall been great and saved us thousands over that time. It's not for everyone, and honestly feels like how insurance likely was when it first started. But it's a great alternative for some.

@kforrestsmith @Matteoitalia4 @Kazembe_youseef I do agree we have issues. But that's a very dogmatic perspective that, IMHO, reeks of an echo chamber. Similar things were said in the 70's, 30's, etc. If that's your perspective, then we likely won't find common ground and I'll leave it here and appreciate the respectful talk.

@Zacbunchanumbrs @ApollotheHills @EpsilonTheory I've just about given up on trying to communicate a rational side to this. Those entrenched in the "fascism" idea will find it in everything that's happening today. It's not even remotely possible that there could be a legitimate reason for some of this admin's decisions.
