Buckingham Palace said a staff member had resigned after Ngozi Fulani, who is Black and was born in Britain, said she was repeatedly questioned about where she was from during a reception on Tuesday hosted by Camilla, the queen consort. nyti.ms/3VC4xsL
@nytimes Queen consort Camilla lady in waiting and godmother to Prince William
@nytimes @anna_itsonlyme The “staff member” is the heir’s godmother. Let’s not obfuscate @KensingtonRoyal
@nytimes Stop it. In Britain, asking someone where they’re from is common. Camilla is, I think, from Wiltshire. The late Queen would often ask people where they were from. Race and racism wasn’t, and I dare say isn’t, a part of it. Why do you have to go there? Just NYT stirring.
@nytimes #AbolishTheMonarchy it is the year 2022, and we still have “royalty”😡😡😡😡
@nytimes It would have been more rude to ignore a guest’s culture and proudly worn heritage when she was invited because of her work with African Caribbean survivors of DV, 🤷♀️ If Ngozi is British with zero interest in her cultural heritage how is she providing specialist services?
@nytimes Meghan & Harry were right about the racist & bigoted @RoyalFamily @KensingtonRoyal! @CityOfBoston should be boycotting Kate & William’s visit! #RacistRoyalFamily
@nytimes What an outrageous question. One can only hope, the inquisition board at least got her pronouns correct!
