Your sip valves are a fucking privilege. Being able to eat lunch away from others is a privilege. Being able to go outside during work for fresh air is a privilege. So much of what wealthy CC people have decided is the one true way to be safe is just not possible for everyone.

Saw a couple tweets of people being shocked people remove their masks to take a drink sometimes and one person even saying "just don't mask then" and I am trying not to go off about it but sometimes it's just so clear there is a major class divide amongst COVID cautious people.

my university dorms have 2 students per room, doors and windows are generally closed because monkeys will come steal your shit, there are MANY people in one building, you will nearly never have a meal or a drink with unshared air and air purifiers cost more than a month's rent

i'm so happy to see people talking about how expensive shit is on my tl. even n95s are expensive as fuck here, kn95s and kf94s are kind of affordable but the good ones that aren't shit quality still cost a significant amount

Both readimasks and sip valves are really expensive. All people need to drink, especially people with chronic conditions or who have physical jobs. Like is this actually a serious take or something to make people who mask regularly look unreasonable

we don't have free speech and i am judged for non conformity and would probably be shunned in most places if it crossed some lines, but at least i am not afraid about my quality of life plummeting so much and nothing i can do about it in general, as long as i mind my business.

ngl even living in my conservative, religious, relatively poor country, even reading about the us so much is tiring. i can't imagine having to live there and having to deal with all that stress.

i just found out the govt has stopped making it mandatory to report when u have covid because i tried to fucking report and it WOULDN'T LET ME it just made me tick a box that says i acknowledge they've stopped doing that etc i was like ???
