I sometimes have this absurd, deeply neurotic thought that if I ever got too close to Madonna, I might simply vanish—like a pig disappearing into a python, except with significantly less dignity and far worse posture.
The tragic irony is that, nutritionally speaking, I’d be a terrible investment. At best, I might contribute enough existential calories to inspire, say, two extra songs at one of her concerts—and even that feels optimistic.
Worse still, I come with side effects. Years of exposure to modern life have left me, chemically speaking, a walking cautionary tale: traces of heavy metals, hormonal confusion, pesticide nostalgia—nothing you’d want in a refined ecosystem.
So if she did absorb me, hypothetically, I imagine it wouldn’t go well. Elevated sugar levels, microbial chaos, an inexplicable surplus of ibuprofen—it would be less “divine feminine energy” and more “pharmaceutical experiment gone wrong.”
In the end, she’d probably just end up… oddly sweet and slightly numb. Which, come to think of it, is more or less how I feel about my own life.
No máximo, eu renderia… sei lá, duas músicas extras num show.
No fim, ela talvez ficasse… estranhamente doce. E levemente anestesiada.
O que, pensando bem, é exatamente como eu descreveria a humanidade hoje em dia.
Chinese people are like orphans in Asia.
From the outside, it seems like they have protection, but in reality, they often don’t even have a safe place to return to.
Just look at the color design of those Skechers shoes. The feeling you get is that people who wear them are basically in the last stage of life—like the final chapter. Maybe even the hospice-care stage, you know? That kind of stage. Don’t you see it?
But now I’m starting to think, damn—yeah, they look terrible, but you don’t have to bend your stomach, you don’t have to fold yourself over, bend down, stick your butt out just to put your shoes on. You just step right into them—boom, done. That actually feels pretty great.
The design is honestly a disaster—ugly as hell, almost painful to look at—but damn, it’s convenient. It’s really convenient. That kind of convenience beats almost everything else, if you ask me.
Seriously though, when you look at those shoes, you kind of imagine the person wearing them either already walking around with a urine bag, you know, one of those catheter things… or carrying one of those medical bags—whatever they’re called… or maybe they’ve got to give themselves a shot before meals for blood sugar, like insulin. Or maybe they’ve already got a few heart stents put in.
That’s just the vibe those shoes give off.
