@nigimmigration @kingmayor90 After completing my contactless biometeics and sending my passport 3 months ago, I haven't gotten my new passport yet
Today, I worshipped with the brethren of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries at its headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos State, led by its Founder and General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka. My visit fulfilled a promise I made to Pastor Muoka during one of his visits to Abia State: that I would worship with the congregation whenever I was in Lagos and the opportunity presented itself. As I shared with the congregation, my Christian faith is deeply rooted in my upbringing. My late father, Pastor Lazarus Otti, was a man of God, and the values he instilled in me continue to shape my life, convictions and approach to public service. Drawing inspiration from Psalm 62:11, which reminds us that power belongs to God, I reaffirmed my conviction that leadership is a responsibility entrusted to us by God and must be exercised with humility, integrity and a deep sense of accountability. In all we do, we seek God's guidance. Where an action is wrong or does not align with His principles, we must have the courage to refrain from it. No ambition, political consideration or personal interest should take precedence over doing what is right. Our administration remains committed to the principles of transparency, accountability, justice and responsible governance. I believe that public office must be approached with a clear conscience, and that doing what is right is essential to having peace of mind and earning the trust of the people. Abia State has made significant progress since we assumed office in 2023. We remain focused on consolidating these gains, improving the lives of our people and building a state in which every Abian can take pride. I am sincerely grateful to Pastor Lazarus Muoka and the entire congregation for their warm reception and prayers for me and the success of our administration. I do not take their prayers and goodwill for granted. May God continue to grant us wisdom, strength and the courage to do what is right as we serve our people.
An Igbo man invested $200 million to build a resort in Lagos called Landmark Beach Resort and Landmark Beach in 2018. The resort covered approximately 30 hectares of land in Lagos, featuring a beach, hotels, restaurants, recreational facilities, and other businesses that attracted tourists and created jobs. 2023, five years after the multimillion dollar business opened The new Nigerian government decided to embark on one of Africa’s most ambitious infrastructure projects called The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. While Dubai builds futuristic cities, China expands its high-speed rail network, and Saudi Arabia builds gigantic tourism projects, The Nigerian government decided to build a coastal road from Lagos to Calabar 👏 The proposed 700-kilometre highway, designed to run along Nigeria’s coastline through several states, was estimated to cost about ₦15 trillion ($10 billion) And guess what? That road must pass through a $200 million resort. No warning that gave the investors enough time to prepare. No consideration for the investment. No regard for the people who had put their money into building something valuable. According to the founder of Landmark Beach, guests were still lodging in the hotel when the demolition began. They didn’t even have enough time to move many of the resort’s equipment and appliances before the destruction started. Now why should we care? The government decided right Now, almost two years later, the road has been diverted. The Minister of Works, said the road’s original route had to be redesigned to avoid destroying existing infrastructure. But somehow, the revised route affected a $200 million tourism investment And now, sections of the coastal highway are being diverted elsewhere. So, why couldn’t the route have been reconsidered before the destruction began? A man’s $200 million investment was destroyed, and the very road that supposedly made that destruction necessary has now been diverted. What happened to the investors’ money? What happened to the jobs? What happened to the businesses that depended on that resort? Perhaps if this man were politically connected to the ruling party, things might have played out differently. Perhaps if he had the right people in the right places, someone would have listened. Perhaps if he had come from a Favorable part of the country the destruction might not have have happened I don’t know. But what I know is that nobody should lose an investment of that magnitude without a serious public conversation about accountability and compensation. I believe that one day, the Federal Government will have to answer questions about this destruction and pay a compensation that is legally due. There are things happening in this country that we don’t talk about enough. We shout about politics, we fight over political parties, and we defend politicians as if they are our family members. Meanwhile, somebody can invest $200 million in this country, build something beautiful, create jobs, and watch years of hard work go down the drain. And we are expected to move on as if nothing happened. This is not how a country encourages investment. This is not how you build confidence in an economy. And this is certainly not how you treat people who are trying to build something in your country. This is a terrible way to treat an investor in a country where 150 million of its citizens are struggling with poverty.
@Opeyemiomot @nigimmigration This is exactly my situation. It's been absolute silence since. It is begining to feel like the positive stories I see here are not real. @nigimmigration Is there actually a genuine system involved in passport production?
@boluboy The least I deserve is a mail or a response to my many calls stating if there's an issue. No response to my DMs as well.
@boluboy It was 3 days difference btw when I posted my application & when they called, they were consitent with the calls at 7am, cos I missed it twice. I sent the postal order immediately I finally spoke to the officer on their end.
Interesting! Glad you got yours sorted. But is there any other criteria that must be met to get a swift reaponse like you did?
@paschalblanc I received my Passport already bro, got it this week, you can try sending them another DM.
@boluboy I sent the postal order after I got a call from the Nigerian High Commission requesting I do so. I also sent the special delivery envelope. They only sent back my expired passport 2 weeks ago, and no word!. I have tried calling their number severally, leads straight to voice mail
@nigimmigration I completed this process and sent my old passport on the 27th of July. I got a call from NHC 3 days later that I didn't include a £20 postal order. I sent the postal order as directed, and only got a parcel ystday 30th sept containing only my old passport. Pls what's happening???
@nigimmigration Hi, I tried using the contactless biometric and for over 3 months now even after payment, everything has been quiet.
@nigimmigration @nigimmigration please I need my passport urgently. I did contactless since July till now it’s still on production queue and I’m running out of time. Please help. I sent my ref number to dm but you aren’t responding. This is so frustrating please help
Just to give you a heads up, I have completed this process since July, I only got called 3 days later to send postal order, which I did immediately. Since then it's been graveyard silence!
@nigimmigration I'll try it. But if e no work as advertised, na me and una on top this and every app
You are interracting with an unresponsive BOT, trust me! I have sent messages for over 2 months now, no freaking response!!!!!!
@nigimmigration Check your dm. All the details are there.
That response you got is from a BOT, I can tell you for free. It's been over 3 months since I sent a message to the handle...nothing!
@nigimmigration I got this same response on 27th September, I sent the requested details and it was acknowledged, but it's still yet to be progressed on the tracker, neither have I gotten it. Kindly assist as my visa expires soon, I need the Passport details for renewal. Thanks.@nigimmigration

The first election is fought in your mind Learn how politicians conquer a people before the ballot 1. There is an ancient trick employed by men who seek to dominate others: defeat a people in their minds, and you may never need to defeat them physically. 2. Convince them that resistance is useless, that power is invincible, and that their choices no longer matter. 3. Repeat this message until fear becomes belief, and belief becomes surrender. 4. This is the psychology of political domination that Wike is trying out. 5. Nigeria approaches January 16, 2027. 6. Since 2015, Nigerians have experienced the APC's promises, policies, and consequences. 7. They know whether they desire continuity or change. 8. That judgment belongs to them alone. 9. But something interesting is happening. 10. Nyesom Wike, the APC and their cronies are very afraid but Wike hopes to transfer that fear to you 11. He repeatedly projects an image of political invincibility, as though the outcome of 2027 has already been decided. 12. Yet Wike is but one man. One man who could not stand Yerima alone. 13. With all his networks, he cannot be in Abuja and Rivers State at the same time. He does not have bilocation. 14. He cannot personally occupy every polling unit. 15. Neither can his political structures nor his proclamations legitimately outweigh millions of votes. 16. So why the relentless performance of invincibility? 17. Why the repeated media spectacles? 18. @atiku 's camp has raised questions about enormous costs for these media charades, but this is not what I'm after tonight. This will be discussed later. 19. What's interesting to me today is the philosophical paradox: The Wike who wants you to fear him is himself afraid of what Nigerians might do. 20. The confidence he's trying to project is uncertainty which he tries to disguise as strength. 21. His hope is that he transfers that uncertainty into your minds, until Nigerians surrender before the contest begins. 23. But history offers another lesson. 24. In 2015, Nigerians voted Goodluck Jonathan out of office. 25. Power changed hands because an incumbent's position was not an entitlement to victory. 26. And in 2027, Nigerians will decide whether Tinubu stays or he leaves. 27. Neither Tinubu nor the APC owns Nigeria's future. 28. So I implore you Nigerians, refuse psychological surrender. 29. Think independently. 30. Vote freely. Defend your votes with all of you. 31. For the most dangerous prison has never been that built around your body, but the one constructed inside your mind. 32. And no politician should ever mistake the people's temporary silence for their permanent submission. 33. 2027, go out vote your conscience. Power belongs to you, the people. Politicians merely borrow it. 34. If APC loses and are kicked out, heavens will not fall
Tinubu wants another four years, but does he want to face the people? 1. One of the biggest conversations in Nigeria today concerns the video of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurating his presidential campaign council. 2. The video has circulated widely, with Professor Chidi Odinkalu among those questioning whether the President was physically present or whether his address was prerecorded. 3. I have watched the footage several times, paying attention to the camera angles, transitions and sounds resembling computer clicks as the video switches between Tinubu and the audience. 4. Then there is the curious moment when he calls himself Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu and is corrected. 5. None of this conclusively proves he was absent. 6. But why not release a continuous, wide-angle recording showing his arrival, movement to the podium and interaction with the audience? 7. That would help settle the controversy. 8. However, something else troubles me. 9. Tinubu has indicated that he will not travel across all 36 states to campaign, citing the demands of governance and the need to attend to investors. 10. Instead, Hope Uzodimma and other APC officials will undertake much of the campaigning. 11. But could there be another explanation? 12. In recent months, we have witnessed growing political hostility, including reported attacks surrounding APC activities in parts of northern Nigeria and political violence elsewhere. 13. Could security concerns be influencing this decision? 14. Could the APC be worried about the possibility of Tinubu encountering hostile crowds in certain states, creating situations difficult for his security personnel to control? 15. These are questions, not conclusions. 16. Only the Presidency can explain its security considerations. 17. But I also struggle to understand why a president who has undertaken numerous international journeys, spending over 200 days outside Nigeria would find campaigning across Nigeria particularly demanding. 18. And there is a deeper question here. 19. Hope Uzodimma is not running for president. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is. 20. Of course, every candidate needs campaign representatives. 21. But representation should not become a substitute for accountability. 22. If a politician considers visiting your community too demanding when seeking your vote, what should you expect when insecurity threatens your village, when your children are kidnapped or when your community needs urgent presidential attention? 23. There may be legitimate reasons for limiting campaign appearances, including security and presidential responsibilities. 24. But Nigerians deserve to know what those reasons are. 25. A presidential candidate is not a king doing his subjects a favour. 26. He is an applicant seeking employment from the people. 27. And the employer has every right to question the applicant. 28. Ultimately, democracy must never become a system where the person seeking power is considered more important than the people who grant it.
It does not require close study of this clip to understand that this was a pre-recorded address. @officialABAT was not at this venue in person. The transitions are un-natural, the camera work is a production & everything is an orchestration. The parties to the crime are many. Let
Could the Nigerian media be sabotaging Nigerian democracy? 1. I am beginning to fear that one of the greatest threats to Nigerian democracy may not be the military, the politicians, or even the ballot thieves, but the very journalists entrusted with protecting the public from them. 2. A democracy does not die only when soldiers seize power. 3. Sometimes, it dies quietly, while journalists sit politely and watch politicians dismantle its foundations. 4. Consider the curious spectacle called Nyesom Wike's media chat. 5. Here is a politician who assembles some of Nigeria's supposedly finest journalists, seats himself at an elevated table, almost like a monarch receiving his subjects, while the journalists arrange themselves below him, two or three on either side. 6. And then the performance begins. 7. Wike speaks. They listen. 8. Wike boasts. They nod. 9. Wike makes extraordinary political declarations. They look on like children looking at their parents. 10. He talks about what he has done, what he intends to do, and what nobody can stop him from doing. 11. Yet the people whose profession demands interrogation appear strangely reluctant to interrupt, challenge, demand evidence, or insist on accountability. 12. At what point did journalism become an exercise in watching a politician speak? 13. In serious democracies, whether on the BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera or elsewhere, the journalist is not expected to be intimidated by the office of the person being interviewed. 14. The interviewer represents the public's right to know. 15. But in these Nigerian media spectacles, one wonders whether the journalists have forgotten whom they represent. 16. The politician occupies the throne. 17. The journalists occupy the gallery. 18. And the Nigerian people, whose interests ought to dominate the conversation, become spectators of a carefully arranged political performance. 19. There are also troubling questions about money. 20. Claims from @atiku 's camp has asked how Wike sponsors his media chats. Others believes these journalists are receiving enormous payments for participating in political media engagements. 21. Such allegations require evidence, not mere repetition. 22. But surely Nigerians deserve to know who finances these programmes, what the broadcasters receive, whether individual journalists are compensated, and whether public resources are involved. 23. A journalist who exchanges independence for political favour has not merely sold out his profession, he has mortgaged the public's right to truth. 24. And here lies another contradiction. 25. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the country's highest official, has offered relatively few opportunities for sustained, unscripted questioning by the Nigerian press. 26. Yet Nyesom Wike, who is not the president, enjoys repeated national broadcasting opportunities in which his political declarations often appear to dominate the proceedings. 27. Are these genuine interviews, or are we witnessing the gradual conversion of journalism into political advertising, a psychological operation by the Nigerian journalist? 28. Some Nigerians suspect that the purpose of these appearances is to condition the electorate into believing that the APC's victory in 2027 is inevitable, regardless of public dissatisfaction. 29. Whether that suspicion is correct or not, journalists should be interrogating such narratives, not simply providing the microphones through which they are amplified. 30. The journalist's duty is not to make power comfortable. 31. It is to make power accountable. 32. When Wike makes a questionable claim, ask for evidence. 33. When he boasts about influencing elections, ask whether his conduct respects democratic principles. 34.When he threatens journalists or political opponents, ask what gives him such authority. 35. When he refuses to answer, insist on the question 36. That is journalism 37. Not the carefully folded hands, the nervous smiles Page 1 of 2
Ask the Governor of Zamfara (Dauda Lawal), when he was in PDP, I chased him away. He had money, plus other money I hear he is keeping for somebody. Why did he run away from PDP? He couldn't withstand the firework. - Wike Nyesom Wike will call for media chat, he will not chat
