To all AV contractors and consultants. Sometimes your "end user" is the smartest person (or team) in the room. Accept that and decide how you will approach those scenarios. 2 choices: look like a jerk or take the oppty to learn. #AVTweeps #InHouseIntegrator #ProAV #Audiovisual
@ped1971 Most tech integrators don't get it - installation's easy, but maintaining tech between budgets is the challenge. I have over 20+ years of experience, vendors still think they know best for my area.
@ped1971 Nothing better than working with a client that knows what they want and are knowledgeable. It should be a positive for the integrator/consultant. Higher-ed and many organizations are lucky to have in-house talent.
@ped1971 I am seeing more and more “know-it-alls” pop up in our industry over the past 1-2 years. It is not a good look folks. Don’t be a jerk. Listen, learn, contribute.
@ped1971 Something tells me that if the AV Contractor/consultant doesn't treat you that way, you have the power to stop working with them in the future. So it's only in their best interest to listen, and learn.
@ped1971 I hope this isn’t part of @HETMA_org’s #AVInTheAM #takeover cos I fear some of us will peak too soon! 🤔🤪 IMHO arrogance is ugly on either end of the process. How about this as a mantra👇🏼 We all don’t know everything #AVTweeps but it’s good to talk to avoid mis-sell/ wrong buy🤷🏻♀️
