The more I think about he Helldivers account situation, I agree with a smart friend. More carrot, less stick. Give me a free skin, profile badge, achievement, or something for linking my account. Make it feel like I am getting something of value out of it and I probably would.

There is nothing wrong with code like this. If it's performant enough that you are hitting your target framerate then it's performant enough. I could see loc being a pain in this particular case, unless there is a tool to data drive the generation of that switch.
