Predator @ph_predator

It's wild to view this as a fighting game fan. Deadlock is a closed alpha game that's completely free, with 0 monetization, and it has more frequent changes/patching than most fighting games. Meanwhile Deadlock fans are going on month 9 of no "large" content update and they are absolutely losing it.

A motion capture rig at a Hollywood studio costs about as much as a house. Someone built the same thing and gave it away for free on Github. Its called FreeMoCap. Grab two or more regular webcams, GoPros, or even your phone. Wave a printed checkerboard in front of them once to calibrate the space. Record yourself moving. The software turns that footage into full 3D motion data you can drop straight into Blender or export as a spreadsheet. You don't need a suit or markers or a studio. Just cameras you probably already own and computer vision doing what used to need a warehouse full of hardware. freemocap.org

@SmashJT have you seen the reddit subs for tomb raider? a lot of wokies hating on the OG designs of Lara Croft. sheez. if they want a "modern Lara Croft", they shouldve just created a new character/franchise. 🤷

Knight's Path @Knights_Path

We’re not trying to make a game that checks every box for every possible player. Knight’s Path has a specific vision and a specific experience it wants to deliver: playing as a young man growing into a capable warrior and knight. Of course men enjoy playing female characters too. Lara Croft proved that decades ago. But many of us also love RPGs where we can step into the boots of a masculine male protagonist, identify with him, and live out that particular fantasy. That’s the audience we’re making Knight’s Path for. Not every game needs to offer every option, and we’d rather fully commit to one experience than dilute it trying to be everything for everyone.
