This is how you generate a cube in vertex shader. Works with any amount of cubes. Also includes the backface culling trick (only include the positive cube faces to index buffer). Backface culling trick relies on the fact that only 3 faces of a cube can be visible at once.

Added multi-scale mean estimator to DDGI (also used in surfel GI), this makes it faster react to lighting changes. And now it also uses real-time BC6 compression.
When using arrays of resources/bindless, it's worth paying attention to index divergence. Even if using thread divergent indices, the compiler will use the index from the first active thread to access a resource, for all threads in the wave, which can cause hard to find bugs 1/3

For now I'll stop optimizing and work on new features in the raytracer :3
Third day debugging GPU workgroup atomics to squeeze more perfomance from my raytracer, but it still hangs :( Here's a cool debug visualization though :)
Deferred rendering day 3: Managed to fix the shadows. Position math was off, due to GL->sane matrix conversion operation order bug (it was after inverse, which was wrong). Lighting still looks too flat. Now debugging that. (also this is without SSAO, which matters a lot)

This is how you generate a cube in vertex shader. Works with any amount of cubes. Also includes the backface culling trick (only include the positive cube faces to index buffer). Backface culling trick relies on the fact that only 3 faces of a cube can be visible at once.

DLSS is the best denoiser I have ever tried, and it's not even a denoiser! Raw path traced samples are sent directly to DLSS in DLAA mode for AI-based accumulation. There's a little bit of ghosting at times, but overall very impressive.
