@Theholisticpsyc Thank you for the words to explain this. Sudden sounds put me in such a panic. I know it might seem fun to some to watch people flounder but all that does is increase the vigilance.

Tell your stories as many times as you can, and to as many as would listen. You see those who do terrible things? They’re constantly telling their stories and changing the narratives. Now, they are even making movies to invalidate the experiences of the people they traumatised 😔

It’s the loss of lives I wonder about. With all these floods in Kogi, Anambra, and Kwara, how many people are lost? How many would never be found? In all these tragedies, it’s always the people who suffer.

Sometimes, our dreams are memories of the future. How else do you explain memories of things that never happened? Or even déjà vu? #dream #Memories

#Nigeria today feels like living in ‘A Conspiracy of Ravens’ by @Ohmstonweth. One rarely knows what to believe anymore. #trust #notrust #tired

If you haven’t seen someone in a long while and there’s a bit of bad news that isn’t yours to share, please don’t reach out to them just to share it. There’s no prize for sharing bad news first. #no #dontdoit #mentalhealth

If you get upset or cut people off when they are honest with you, maybe you don’t really have honesty as a value. Maybe you just value your opinions over that of others. #values #honest #CancelCulture

If you have honesty as a value, it’s not a one-way street where you can be as brutally honest with others as you like. What that means is that you should also value honesty towards you; whether it’s what you like to hear or not. #values #honest

Dear #parent, please can you take responsibility for your choice by calling that partner or ex of yours by your relationship with them? ‘My ex or present wife/husband’ as opposed to ‘your mother/father’. Your child didn’t choose, you did. Act like it, will you… Namaste 😏

Women appearing to smile whilst being sexually harassed does not mean they are okay with it. Smiling is either a de-escalation technique or an awkward response. NOT to be confused with consent.

‘A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still’ You can’t make anyone be or do anything more than they have chosen. You can’t change anyone by steamrolling them into change.

@ekemma @EpiAFRIC @nighealthwatch Congratulations… All the best with the new. You’ve done so much to bring knowledge closer to people. Those challenges have nothing on you.
